The Mysterious Mr. Enter / Jonathan Rozanski's "Growing Around" - IndieGoGo Campaign Failed, John going off the deep end, "Turning Red" is ignorant about 9/11 (later retracted)
Also, just to sprinkle some hypocrisy from the "my characters are not assholes"guy, this thing starts with a bigger brother and sister scaring their little brother to tears. Maybe the moral of the story will be that you shouldn't make a fucking kindergartener cry, but so far who knows.
Hey, that's exactly how the FOP episode "Lights Out" started, and that's the exact moral they wanted to teach, too. I guess Enter's trying to "do it right."
Okay then who is the video for? Like his fans only care about his cartoon opinions? People who want information about COVID won't take the words of a notably questionable cartoon reviewer on it? Casual viewers who would be bored?
I swear Enter is the Right Wing version of Quinton Reviews

I think this is him trying to keep his channel afloat with clickbait (seriously, that title), but seeing how he lost 1,000 subscribers it's clearly not working.
Dude, why are you treating Enter like he's some father figure that got #MeToo'd? He's just some retard with shitty opinions on a hotly debated topic that he clearly doesn't understand. Honestly, it's rather sad how some people like Crimson Mayhem basically deified Enter and how they act when they see him for what he actually is: an idiot.
He also included sources and, for some reason, the script for this video as Google Docs in the video description. I've attached Word versions of these below.
I've been a good (or extremely stupid) Kiwi and actually listened to that whole thing. there isn't really much that he hasn't already said or that coud be deducted from previous statements but there are some interesting bits.
Let's start from the title: Any regular folk would link it to the Coronavirus, but Mr.Enter has proved times and times again not to be a regular folk. The title's referencing the lockdown measures. According to him , those put an end to the world. Melodramatic much?
At the end there's a curious bit about how people don't have a right to be angry because "people who have had their lives sacrificed [He means people that had to live trough lockdown] (Only got as payment) a phone number for an overwhelmed suicide hotline." while he spent the whole video trashing medical experts and saying we shouldn't have done nothing. I guess he's ok with nurses and isle doctors to dieing of the virus or because of the massive workload.
Later he starts to underline how bad it was that the Coronavirus spread douring the chinese new year because it meant more people getting together... too bad the chinese government canceled most of the events.
He states that Hungary became a dictatorship because of the Coronavirus response, that is false. Hungary's prime minister started implementing far-right and antidemocratic laws ever since he was first elected in 2010, and it became clearly visible to the world in 2015 when he actualy built a militarized wall nearby the boarder with Serbia to prevent immigration. There's even a political alliance between those eastern european states that are in favor of more far right policies called Visegrad Group. None of this happened because of covid.
Since we're talking foreign nations he mentiones Italy a bunch of times, once to show how extreme politicians can get. He shows governor of Campania's region, Vincenzo De Luca's take that he'll send policemen with flamethrowers if people try to organize parties for their degrees. This is neither fact nor a joke as MR. Enter suggests, De Luca's nationally famous for his incendiary takes that usually give him national news attention (and memes) but nedles to say no actual policemen was deployed armed with a flamethrower, and Campania is doing decently, considering it contains Naples, one of the biggest italian cities.
Staying in the booth he shows far right politician Matteo Salvini as an example of someone who's not wearing the mask properly, and he is truye, he was not wearing the mask properly (he rarely does). You know who else noticed? The entirety of the italian population! he was so critiqued for his actions that a clip of a journalist finally telling him (on national TV) how he actualy should behave became a meme
He also states that, according to him, the basic instructions of washing hands with soap before and after going out and remembering not to put your unwashed hands in your nose or in your mouth (so, you know, what your mom told you when you were 10) are just too hard to follow, therefore masks are ineffective.
He also states that lockdown are inhumane because poor people in third world countries could die because of their effect. Not only this people would already die because of actions taken mostly by the west (colonialism and neo-colonialism and global warming) but he later says that it would be more humane for them to die of Coronavirus (described as "Drowning in one own's fluids" than to starve to death. Nice compassion you got there MrEnetr, be careful not to use it anytime, it might broke.
I have other things to do today so I'll stop, but those seemed the more interesting to me. I could continue the list if anyone's interseted.

Enter comes up with a ton of poorly thought out complaints to bloat the video's runtime, but here's what most of them have in common:
Enter does just enough research to say "This is a terrible idea," but not enough research to understand how those ideas were either justified or straight-up defied several weeks ago.
When you take Enter's points one at a time, they seem reasonable to people who hate quarantine, BUT when you put all those points together, you get several contradictions. Here's my personal favorite:
Curfew is stupid because the virus won't get stronger at night! (30 minutes later) Scientists have proven that the virus gets weaker when exposed to sunlight, so why do you keep us inside!?!
These two points cancel each other out. Turns out the virus IS technically stronger at night, so curfew can be justified. Contradictions like these expose Enter's critiques for what they truly are: More thinly-veiled excuses to be mad.
Why is he so fucking obsessed with this? If he really thinks the world is going so crazy that he will never be able to leave the house again he should be clinging to his pretend Youtube "job" tighter than ever but instead he ignores it for weeks at a time and bitches nonstop about things that dont even effect him instead while alienating all the people who make his free money possible

The only reason I can think of is so he has an excuse not to upload every week. "The world is weighing down on me," he says. Well, it's been weighing down on you for years. COVID has nothing to do with it. I'm certain that, when quarantine is over, you'll just find something else to weigh you down.
Thing is, if his depression is anything like mine, it's entirely circular. He doesn't upload anything in weeks, so he feels pathetic and useless, so he loses all drive to do anything, so he continues to not upload anything, aside from more excuses to not upload anything. It's no coincidence that, despite winter usually being the peak of his depression, 2019/2020 had his least depressing winter in years. (Citation: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PGBOP5ZjNco&t=3m7s ) Either Nick-O-Rama took his mind off all the shitty things happening in the world, or it gave him a sense of purpose that allowed him to overcome his debilitating emotions. Either way, it seems making bad cartoon reviews is bizarrely one of his healthier outlets.
"My job is crying over cartoons and insisting all of them have morals."
I don't buy it. Enter can be self-deprecating but even then, this doesn't sound like him. And that's ignoring his established grievances with Twitter.

Yeah and Enter gets very pissed when his job is not taken seriously cause in his recent video there was text complaining about well to paraphrase "Thanks for telling people that their job is not essential!" in a sarcastic tone.
Well, I may have many flaws but disappointing my requesters won't be one.
Let's talk a bit about laws, even if I'm not a constitutionalist so take everything I say with a grain of salt: Enter says that lockdown are against the first amendament because that grants, with other things, the right to assembly. Like I said I'm no constitutionalist but I hope the founding fathers wrote somewhere that the state can actually take drastic measures in case there's an emergency, such as wars or... well, an illnes that's spreading all around the country. If they did, than MrEnter's excessive faith in the first amendment is unwarranted and if they didn't, his next statement is wrong because the founding fathers did not, in fact "foresaw a potential pandemic".
But the next point he brings up makes me think the FF didn't actually think about it because he references the Supreme court case of Jacobson vs. Massachusetts, that allows the state to suspend rights in name of public health.
Then he argues that this court decision has been used to do shitty things such as deny abortion rights in Texas, and therefore it's a bad law. I swear to God I wish I was kidding but that's literally his reasoning. People get run over by cars? well, cars are then clearly evil and we should get rid of them I guess. Thanks Mr Enter, patron saint of fallacious reasoning!
Speaking about evil, for someone who previously argued (his Extra Credits "you're a nazi" video) that if you don't understand your opponent's reasoning you should educate yourself more, he sure just likes to call people he disagrees with just plain evil. The media is evil, the medical personnel is evil and Dr Fauci is evil.
He shows a couple of videos of the white house's top physician to show how much of a liar he is but, as a matter of fact, the first video just shows him rightfully saying that masks aren't a magical cure for Coronavirus but are better than nothing, while the second one ( I admit a more sketchy one) has him in front of a court explaining that he didn't urge everyone to buy masks because he didn't want medical personnel to be left without one.
We already know what he thinks about masks but there are a couple of interesting tidbits of hubrys still, like when he talked about Canada mandating masks in july and adding: "why did it take so long for the western world to start mandating them at all?" Bitch, Germany had mandatory mask laws ever since April, France made them mandatory in May following a two months nationwide lockdown and in Italy (who herself had a months long national lockdown) made them mandatory in March and eased on them only last fucking week in some regions. The USA and Canada are not "The western world".
He also had this opinion that "masks can’t be made mandatory in the United States in any meaningful way. Requiring someone to wear a mask violates the Americans with Disabilities Act, and no they do not prove that they actually have a condition. A place of business actually puts themselves at risk of a lawsuit for requiring masks to everyone." To wich i respond... how? The nations I wrote about before had clear sections in their mandatory mask regulations that excluded infants and people with disability. BAM, done! it's not hard and it's sure not impossible, same for the restaurant part. I'm not from the USA but aren't restaurants in Texas mandating masks to get inside and reach your table? I mean yeah, maybe some idiot will sue but the fault's on that guy not understanding how dangerous a pandemic can be (just like our favorite cartoon reviewer), not on masks or the restaurant.
Another occasion where he blames the potential solution for people's actions is when he says that a South Korean covid tracing app discovered that a group of people got contaminated while being in a gay bar and this sparked a wave of homophobia. What the heck does Covid have to do with this? the fault here is on homophobes for being fucking idiots, they would've found another excuse to hate on gay people, global pandemic or not.
Wich reminds me on his juicyest (for me) take. he spends most of the video trashing medical personnel for doing their job, and at some point he attacks them for their response to the BLM protests.
Now, a well rounded individual could see the different reactions to the anti-lockdown protests and the BLM protests and say that people not treating them as equals are being hypocrites. But this kind of straightforward thinking is not for MrEnter whom, as one of Earth's finest thinkers, dares to explore high concepts that no man has ever pondered over before, and is therefore able to express opinions that no man ever dared to think before, such as arguing that medical personnel in favor of the BLM protests are actually being racist.
He defends this ludicrous line of thinking by (rightfully) pointing out that black people are generally more affected by Coronavirus than white people, therefore by "encouraging" more vulnerable people (read, black) to go outside the medical establishment was putting them at risk.
Of course this shows that MrEnter, the enlightened sociologyst that he is, doesn't understand that poorer people, as blacks tend to be, are less able to buy expensive medicines, to pay for medical threatments and are less able to take a day off work to go to the doctor. This problem could be solved if healthcare in the US was less expensive or maybe even socialized, so that every citizen could benefit from it, but we already know what Enter thinks about it.
Thankfully that particular take has already been debunked by a lot of people.
P.S. While researching those videos I even found a goddamn furfag explaining why he's wrong... Even furries have more brain cells than Enter!
And i guess this is... not all, because there are other things that could be refuted in his video but this post is already getting long enough, and i don't want to occupy all the space on this thread's... 350th page! so I'll stop.
If I had to come to some sort of conclusion after my reading, it would be that while Enter expresses his intent is to follow actual science and to defend human rights, this video's only function is to struck his own ego while, and this is the worst part, spreading misinformation.
Most of his talking points are either taken out of context, blame the safety measures for people's shortcomings (like with the homophobia one) or disregard the complexity of scientific research and socio economic situations in favor of an unrealistic binary difference between good and bad where the side he doesn't want to support always falls on "bad". All of this filtered trough his favorite talking point: the slippery slope fallacy.
All this reminds me of a local motto: "Only who doesn't do anything is guaranteed not to fail", used to mock people who aren't willing to take risks, but sadly Enter, like always, doesn't follow his own advice and, instead of just doing nothing, he decided to spend a whole hour to spread misinformation to his own audience. And while that's not the end of the world, I sure hope it will at least be the end of his youtube carreer.
