The official artist is pretty snowflakey. She's that one artist who says "muh artstyle" for any criticism.
Not Suprised, The Artist's twitter screams special snowflakes, and clout chaser

This is from Dr.Apeis twitter .

Just hoping one day, Dr.Apeis is mature enough and got a better artist for his project. ( Since my predictions this artist will be bitch a lot if got replaced by better artist )

I'm pretty sure Alex's artist was a snowflake as well. She would also trace art without giving credit to the original artist and ban people from the Discord who said she was a tracer.

Yes, I know I'm late to this.

A roadmap just got posted on the YanSim Discord.
Oh wow, a roadmap. And only 6 years in to development!

For any would be indie devs: You should have a roadmap, game design document, and a shit load of notes (I suggest using something like Scrivener or other world building documentation software) well before you get deep in to development, I'd say 1-2 months in at the latest (earlier if it's an idea you're serious about making in to a full game). These things help you stay on task and keep development time from bloating massively because you always have something pointing your way forward, plus they can be very handy when coding or designing as they can give you a theoretical blueprint to work from.

Holy hell how is she this full of herself. Does she think traceing better artist then her makes her just as good or better? Or is her thought process because she changed a few details it's now, no longer a trace. Despite a good amount of it still clearly being a trace.

How many games have you made, retard? GDDs are for communicating ideas to other people. 99% of "would be indie devs" are working completely solo, or with one artist, and a GDD would be restrictive, and useless. A waste of time. Don't listen to this retard if you're serious about making in to a full game.

>don't bother putting your design on paper so that you can refer back to it, memory is infallible
kys yourself nigger.

May I ask, how many long game projects have you done? I'm talking about 6+ month long projects. As a major problem with long projects is that it is hard to remember all the details without a guide directing you. Yansim suffered heavily from this as there were numerous useless updates centred around easter eggs which delayed development.

It's starting to look like we might need a seperate thread just for Love Letter. In actual Alex-related news, some paypig joined his patreon and now he's making over 2k a month.

It might be too early to call completely, but I've been generally unimpressed by the whole environment around Love Letter. DrApeis has been childish and petty, but since it's against Alex he's generally gotten away with it. Beyond that, if the Discord is anything to go by, the game is just picking up the Tumblr tween scraps that Alex has been losing, so it's not going to try to appeal to much beyond that demographic.

Regardless, I've had low expectations from this project from the beginning. I genuinely don't believe that a game that takes from Yandere Simulator's design philosophy will ever result in a quality product, especially one born entirely out of ill will.

Imagine being a grown adult that's making a decent amount of bank, and then go and give it to lazy ass Alex.

And I hope we won't need to talk that much about Love Letter but, it's quite a lot of pressure for someone so young. At least if ApeIs fucks up I could excuse him due to inexperience unlike Alex that's on his 30s.

I don't have much faith that the kids that are paying into this patreon will be able to sustain multiple hundreds of dollars a month. Once end of month hits, I expect this to drop like a sack of shit, back under the $1,600 this started at. It just doesn't make much sense to me for that much money to show up after weeks of drama, months of patreon decline, and no real updates to the game itself.

Aren't they a literal child? Like 15 or something?

That's the scary part - actual adults follow this game. Adolfin is a grown woman with a child (who she let's play YanSim) and she's been simping for Alex for years.
