I can't wait to see what the October surprises will be this year. I'm already more anxious than a Afghan parking valet, and I can't imagine the shitshow that'll happen the night of November 3rd. I try not to be a doomer to save my mind and soul, but I can't be the only one thinking i'll take the day off and go back to my family's place, vote and then hunker down and pray.

I would like to see Biden win. I give Trump a 55% chance of winning only because he will do some things to try to swing it his way and fuck the constitution and its provisions - of which I give him a 70% chance of pulling off. If he pulls off the cheating, he could swing it enough to still win - thus 55% chance.

Fortunately i have dual citizenship so if need be and leave this decaying country of required.

My guess is the following October surprises are on the horizon:

1. Trump announces a mediocre vaccine as the end all despite scientific evidence to the contrary and produces the vaccines for everyone, regardless of the result.
2. Under the guise of National Security due to the cases of 250,000 per day announces in the interests of preventing the spread of Covid-19 that he orders most polling stations closed - and leaves the ones primarily in republican areas open.
3. Ensures Putin provides evidence of Putin's goons doing mail fraud (pretending to be democratic voters) to Barr who then screams proof of democratic mail fraud and runs to the appeals courts in toss-up states to discount the mail-in ballots.

I apologize for asking, but are you fucking out of your mind? There is no way New Mexico or Nevada are going to flip red in this election or any election ever. Biden has more of a realistic chance of flipping Texas and Georgia in this election than any Republican winning Nevada or New Mexico in any presidential election for at least of few decades.
Nevada has had record number of voters registering as GOP this year alone. The Dems also fucked over the voters in Nevada with shenanigans in 2016. Some Dems might just vote for Trump to spite the DNC.

NM I based on that incident with the guy getting ganged up by BLM and Antifa. That's not much, but could sway people.

Regardless, NM and Nevada aren't going to help Biden win. If he gets those, its still 223 vs 312. I think Nevada has a better chance of going red than NM. So 218 vs 320.

Clinton only won Nevada by two points, so I don't get why some think it's unattainable.

Edit: Actually, it was 47.50% to 45.98%, so even closer. Minnesota was just as close too. New Mexico is probably out of reach; it was won by Clinton by eight points last cycle.

I did not know John Kasich had an account on the farms.

New Mexico has been a lost cause for the right in almost two decades, actually since Gary Bongson was last governor there in fact (2003). It’s now a one party state like California. Arizona likely would have followed suit if it wasn’t for all the old white retirees. It’s a window to the future of the Southwest if demographics aren’t brought under control.

And how come Putin isn't on the "who will win the election" survey. Oh that's right, it is - silly me, I see Trump written there quite clearly.

Fuck off glowie bugman

I think Minnesota is in play for the GOP and I wouldn't be surprised if the economic issues start trumping everything else in a place like Nevada. It isn't Trump and the GOP trying to shut down places like Las Vegas—it's the left and, by (perhaps forced) association, Biden.

I'd love to see some good polling that tries to account for the shy Trump effect that looks into MN and NV, but I also feel like that type of poll at the current time would be too motivating for the DNC to actually try and do something there. I'd rather let them count their chickens before they hatch while the fox raids the coop.

Nevada has had record number of voters registering as GOP this year alone.

If this is true, I wonder how it plays out. Certainly the primary stuff does not look good for Biden, but covid might flip a lot of stuff we take for granted this year, so who knows.

i actually hadnt fully considered all the factors leading to a higher red vote count in those states, they might actually get them, if so thats really bad for biden along with his mishandling of the black vote especially considering his current lead is probably at least a little over stated (definitely in texas) and based mostly, even by their own admission, on the timing of corona and biden shutting up for the most part. He still has his rape allegation iirc and the debates are looming which he will undoubtedly look awful in even if somehow better than Trump. That and mail in ballots apparently hurt the demos that vote for them and they either will have that or corona ending to deal with

Nevada will be tough for Trump but more feasible than New Mexico. A big feather in the Democrats cap is that union corruption is still pretty strong there.

There were a lot of articles at the time bragging about how Latinx union members won Nevada for Hillary. Here’s one about the primary but still applied to the general election: https://prospect.org/power/labor-prospect-harry-reid-s-backchannel-turnout-machine-nevada/

I’d be shocked if the union machine didn’t turn out for Biden.
i hate those kinds of articles, theyre treating it like importing and displacing americans who were already here and then going against their interests to win the newcomers is a morally valid tactic, scummy pricks, too bad your scarecrow blew the lid to millions of black people just what the dnc really want for black people

edit looking at comments of articles all suddenly thinking looking into ulterior motivations for rape accusations is ok, suddenly its ok to question and withhold judgement or even excuse rape accusations of being a tool for political gain. all while saying trumps accusations still matter and are automatically true of course

I dunno if this is bait or....
The neoliberals have hated Putin ever since he saved the world from ISIS and blew them the fuck out.

My only grievance against Putin was not deploying the Spetnaz and Russian ground forces to crack ISIS mud Nigger skulls. Show the world how much of cowards and paper tiger they were.

Obama and Clinton clearly wanted Assad gone and will hate both Putin and Trump for a long time.

too bad whenever a dem is elected were pretty much guaranteed to fight russia or no reason.

Guys, I genuinely think that crap like this actually discourages most sane people from ever supporting the Democrats. Chances are, Biden might just drop all pretenses and demand little girls wear short skirts with no underwear.

And, of course, here's the latest news from the trenches.

Oh, yeah, Biden can definitely beat Biden.

I mean, Joe Biden's husband.
