Hypothetically, let's say this is anime style and thus not immediately offensive off of simply being Western art:
Who is your target audience? People who want a cute Yandere Girl to chase them don't look like that/wish they looked like that. That character has the proportions of a woman, like no bulge either. Certainly, women who might think it's fun playing as the yandere almost certainly wouldn't want a love interest that looks like that. What demographic are you trying to appeal to here because the one this seems to be hitting is a very very very niche category, made smaller by the weird western art style when you apply that back into the perspective
The pose, the tapering on the waist, hair, the way the fingers are drawn -- that is by all presentations a flat woman with an Adam's apple by the presentation. This would only work if your target audience is non binary?? lesibans?? I don't know what tumblr would throw on it. That's simply a much smaller target audience than straight weebs. But also, god that's unsettling. How could someone draw this and think yes this is great and a good representation of a popular boy beloved by women.

It won't. The people who want these games are below 18 years old and generally women or autistic men. That's not a problem if you filter out the people useful to you and incorporate them into your team. They already failed this and let in people who have no business being near the production of the game in. I'm willing to bet it'll collapse under it's own autistic weight as the creators either go hollow from trying to actively interface with such an awful community. It it doesn't, the inclusion of such people will slowly destroy it from the inside. If Yansim could hold his spaghetti at all he'd just keep extracting money and ramp up work a little bit while watching Lovesick crash and burn.
I give this three months max before it goes up in flames if it hasn't already.
