Nah ...noahs ark and the epic of gilgamesh already happened.

Its pretty much an oral tradition passed down thousands of years and it was actually the black sea. There are ancient structures on the floor of the sea and the bosporus broke about 15000 years ago catastrophiclly flooding some sort of early civilization.

To them the entire world definately flooded and mt. Arrarat is right there. Wether a dude built a boat or not is another story.

Just looked at the Chinese site for the water level at the dam and its finally gone down a whole 1 meter since yesterday. If the weather reports are correct for once and they get hit with more rain, I'm wondering if they'll destroy more dams upstream of the Three Gorges Dam, or if the levels spike up too fast to even matter. If it's the latter, hope your liquor cabinets are stocked up.

Wuhan is still creeping higher though, likely due to not having anywhere to properly drain to. The rate is slow as fuck at least. I think its only gone up 10cm from yesterday, but I don't remember what my picture showed and I'm too buzzed to check right now.

Ok when should we expect to see the dam break? Before October?
If the forecast stays true, worst case scenario would be Friday or Saturday (Tuesday & Friday are expected to have rain, with scatter showers on Wednesday & Thursday). "Best" bad case is end of August.

One thing that strikes me is that the outlets are all in the body of the dam. There’s no spillway system nearer the top, so when those are open that’s all the outflow capacity there is. Is that for a reason?
What about that ship lift system? Could that be opened up as well? It’d royally fuck everything below but might be a last ditch action to stop collapse.

Its scary to consider that 'when', not if this dam fails China's status as a world power and the CCP will get destroyed practically overnight. The amount of infrastructure they are going to loose is going to take upwards of 10-20 years to recover, and that is not even counting the nuclear reactors that are in the line of fire.

Unless the CCP suddenly grew a brain and started cold shut downs of a lot of reactors in the line of fire, you are going to see multiple fukashima like events that are going to take weeks before any containment crews are even able to get to them. God forbid one or more blows a lid and burns like Chernobyl did. And the worst part of all of this?

The CCP in its final throws to save face is going to refuse international help to deal with them, meaning the world is going to get to see what uncontained nuclear fires do. The short term damage as insane it will be is going to be nothing compared to massive chunks of china permanently contaiminated with radioactive dust.

Based on the taiwan news article posted on page 10 of the thread's photos, the ship lift already has been opened, or water is simply pouring right through it.

Hard to tell, but the article seems to agree:

Edit: The most likely place the water from the ship lift is coming from is this spillway to the left of the elevator

After the three gorgeous dams saw its highest level of flooding this year authorities admitted the dam has distorted leaked and moved the next day officials downstream blasted open a dam to release the excess water.
Over the weekend china's famous three gorgeous dam located on the yangtze river saw its most severe flooding yet this year the same day authorities amid the dam has moved leaked and distorted this past saturday a new round of flooding hit the dam with incoming water reaching over 60 thousand cubic meters per second that's twice the rate of the next most powerful flood on the same day chinese state media xinhua reported the dam has moved leaked and distorted but the report didn't give out specific numbers instead emphasizing that all major parameters are within normal range together with heavy rain the increased water from the dam has also sent the water level downstream soaring that led authorities from anhui province to blast open a local dam during the wee hours of the morning in effort to elevate the pressure chinese officials used the same tactic back in 1998 the country's worst flooding in recent decades on monday morning the water level instead the three gorgeous dam was still above its flood warning level that's as it may be hit with another round of flooding on tuesday while the yonzu river flooding persists another major river located further north is also getting overwhelmed that leaves the region between the two rivers at risk which happens to be one of china's most important economic centers
They denied the warping before right?

To be fair to the Chicom, the dam is designed to distort somewhat. I was shown a computer simulation today from an engineer who worked on the dam - not a chink - who says it's working as intended atm. The google image was certainly bullshit.
He says that the issue will be three "weak points" in key locations downstream that are more of a concern.
Which seem to match the latter of that transcript.

It's very strange, because in Asian news world, this isn't getting any attention. In fact there's been no real bulletins from government sources about this from anyone. There's been conjecture, but nothing official, which is strange, because Japan and Korea, for instance, love to shit on China. Most of the official/off the books word there is that it will hold up*. The only "reportable" stuff has been recycles from French news media.
*Or rather - it will be "fine", coz they'll just flood the shit out of elsewhere.

The dam failing would be a K.O for China and Xi is a cunt, so this is a theory I totally believe. I'm shocked he hasn't bought in Uyghurs to use as human sandbags.

It annoys me that this is getting zero attention in the US, who are instead playing lies and bullshit about dead criminal negros and "muh racism" 24/7.

I'm aware, just like most skyscrapers are designed to withstand being bent by the wind somewhat. Concrete has pretty good tolerances when you make it right (chinamen have a bad record with this because they want shit built fast and cheap) but what struck me in the video was a mention of the dam leaking. That suggests there is a crack somewhere and thats real bad for structural integrity of the whole thing and that this concrete is not doing so hot right now.

While i would consider the US mainstream media to be a lost cause not even worth getting mad over silence form Japan is kinda strange.
