Both are a spawn of another site I can't remember that shut down. I found both PULL and Lolcow when searching to find out what happened to Kiki Kannibal and that was like a 1-3 months after the other site shut down so they talked about it a lot but I don't know any details.

And I believe the whole line of sites goes back to /cgl/ which was over modded and drove people out.

I mean, the owner might have gotten spooked by the Section 230 stuff as well. Just seems if they were getting heat for the Vic stuff I think the Kiwi Farms would have documented it. I doubt the owner grew a conscience and realized he had created something terrible.

So the simplest explanation was "this is too much work just for the sake of gossiping hens."

I doubt it. Sounds like the guy was having the same issues as Null. (Namely lots of work, no pay off, no one wanting to deal with the back end stuff.)

It means they can't let go. Once a domain lapses it's shoveled into a holding account 50,000 corpses high and you'll be lucky to get it back for under $1,000 if the name isn't a garbage string of letters and numbers.

Lolcow doesn't like PULL since they've made a thread about them too. Even lolcow is preparing for the snowflake invasion.
