I kinda have a theory as to why homeschooling is so reviled in the public eye, and it's the same reason why the Woke Left came about in the first place...the old Religious Right is once again to blame for this problem.

When people hear "homeschooling", they're not thinking of a coordinated and planned proper education done at home. They're thinking of redneck Protestant hillbillies teaching their kids shit like Young Earth Creationism, "Gay Man Bad", "muh pagan degeneracy", and other fundie moral bullshit, and likely also thinking of horrifying child abuse too because it's kinda the territory with traditionalist Protestants, especially the more redneck Evangelical ones.

While that's not the majority of home schooling and has never been, there were enough high-profile cases in the Bible Belt that the media gave a lot of coverage to back in the day, and it became one of those urban legends and stereotypes about homeschooling.

As much as I hate the traditionalists (and their atheist douchebag counterparts) I always felt that the image of the Bible Belt redneck moral conservative/neoconservative homeschooling was always over-represented/overstated in the Red State homeschoolers and practically non-existent in the Blue State homeschoolers, and the media was intentionally giving airtime to the puritan nutcases and going above and beyond to conflate all homeschooling with the likes of the Westboro Baptist Church or the cultists at Waco.

The problem is that if you want to advocate homeschooling, you've got to find a better name for it, one that the media hasn't intentionally tarred with the lunacy of the fundie traditionalists of the Reagan and Bush eras.

As much as I hate to play the semantics game, it is unfortunately an issue that we have to deal with.
Yup. People hear "homeschool" and they think of JimBob and Michelle Duggar, or David and Louise Turpin, Joe and Nicole Naugler, David and Jill Rodrigues etc.
I am 100% pro-homeschool if it's done with even a hint of responsibility. The parents using it to hide abuse, neglect or cult indoctrination suck.

WTF, the so called "CHAD WOLF" deleted this amazing tweet.

WTF, he also deleted the pictures of evidence of vandalism by Antifa. what is going on here.

Also in other news, California's local news stations are pozzed as hell. They just talked about the dindu nuffin Navy Veteran and nothing about the riots before it. And kept using the words peaceful protests.

---------------------------------------------------------------

Edit: apparently the tweet got deleted because the courthouse got butthurt and doesn't allow inside photos. Even though ANTIFA is trying to burn this thing down. Maybe Chad Wolf should let ANTIFA burn it down.

Maybe...I think that might be a cover because something important to the investigation might be in those images and they don't want to blow their cover or otherwise spoil a potential case that could end in more arrests and convictions at the federal level.

I have met homeschooled kids who were taking college classes at 16. They're smarter than public school kids IMHO.

One of my favorite objections to homeschooling is "but how will they socialize". Lul, as if being around the 13 Reasons Why-tier shitheads and maneaters that occupy public schools is a constructive life experience. Even so, homeschoolers have their own theater and sports organizations.

Agreed, and again this image problem is entirely on the media focusing on the wannabe puritan crazies and how most of those kids were poorly socialized because they grew up in total wacko families who deliberately kept their kids from interacting with the "sinful" and "degenerate" world as much as possible.

The Duggar-type homeschoolers are definitely in the minority of homeschooled kids, but they get all the media attention. It's sickening, really.

It's also a giant cope. Most parents have extremely hard times raising kids because most kids are spoiled rotten.

Moms who have to scream at their brats to get them to complete a math worksheet could not imagine having to actually educate the child. So if their next door neighbor homeschools they have to believe that in reality the homeschoolers are failing their children.

Well, you also have to remember the true reason for vilifying homeschoolers (same reason charter and religious schools are vilified): they're competition outside of the reach of teacher's union rackets (they need fresh meat to molest and indoctrinate).

There's that, and homeschooling also a front in the greater fight against against the indoctrination you mentioned. Homeschoolers are slammed the same way people who are concerned about privacy and rights are. Changing the name of the idea, I think, won't do much, since private schools are slammed in the media too.

Two fat 600lbs retards try to buy 552 cans of Mountain Jew? They aren't coincidentally relatives of Jack Scalfani, aren't they?
True, Riley Reids asshole might make more money than my mom, but my mom's asshole is 86 years old and still can keep its shit. Doubt Riley's is still able to do that after being impaled by Jamals rod 10.000 times.

So the pillar of the community arsonist added a murder charge to his account, I hope.

That's the sole reason why there were never any Hitler statues/memorials of him:
„Der Reichskanzler hat angeordnet, daß keinerlei Hitler-Denkmäler, Gedenkhallen oder ähnliches zu seinem Gedenken zu seinen Lebzeiten errichtet bzw. angebracht werden dürfen. Soweit dies schon geschehen ist, sind die Denkmäler und Tafeln unverzüglich zu beseitigen." - Berliner Morgenpost, 13.12.1933, S.3.

"The Chancellor ordered that no Hitler memorials, memorial halls or the like should be erected or attached to his memory during his lifetime. As far as this has already happened, the monuments and panels must be removed immediately." Berlin Morning Post December 13th, 1933, Page 3
Was Adolf Hitler into being the next Napoleon of Europe or was he aiming for the Man in the High Castle universe where the Nazis almost run the whole world?

And i think the answer might be obvious with you but do you believe Europe would have been better off if Hitler won and we get a fatherland sceanario where its a cold war between America and the Nazis compared to the Soviets?

Didn't see this posted anywhere earlier
Chris David biography: 13 things about Navy veteran from Portland, Oregon

Of note:

-After high school, he attended the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland.
-He became a commissioned officer and aeronautical engineer while serving with the Navy Seabees.
-He was a Naval Lieutenant.
-He is a laboratory scientist at the Portland Veterans Affairs Medical Center.

The Seabeas are designated as "military construction"

People think homeschooled kids are weird because they only notice the weird ones. Your average person knows a ton of homeschooled people but they act normal so it never comes up.

That said, I had a close friend who was homeschooled and the main source of her awkwardness was just how fucking caring and compassionate she was. She never had to develop the defense mechanisms your average public school student does. This left her a little naive to danger, sure, but I was consistently blown away at how kindly she treated people after not having that natural care as thoroughly stamped out of her by the cruelty of other kids and the indifference of adults in authority.

This is all off topic, but the one thing I’ll add is that if all most students have come fall is virtual study, it’s going to be an unmitigated disaster. We know this because the tail end of the 2019-2020 school year already fucking was. My sister is in her second year as a public school teacher at a moderately low income high school and her online class fell apart as soon as it started, and pressure from the department meant she had to pass students who did an astonishingly low percentage of the coursework. She barely was able to keep kids on task in her classroom, once even the pretense of expectations and accountability was gone, the most vulnerable students were a lost cause, and everyone else struggled. It was largely a combination of kids being incapable or unwilling to work absent an authority figure directing them, and a tragically large portion of her students that had to share limited computer and internet time with their siblings and often parents working from home.

And that’s saying nothing of the other teachers who will fold, give up or do half-assed work when those same networks of accountability are removed. Again, we know this because it already fucking happened.

So yeah, the whole idea is idiotic from the ground up and even if kids want to learn, they are absolutely going to need better access to technology. Your charity is better spent there then on any of the violent social issues that have flared up over the summer.

Its called beating your child with the belt. But really like that boondocks clip of gramps in the store, sometimes you have to go there if you got an extremely spoiled brat. But also if your kid is a extremely spoiled brat because you give them fucking everything then don't be surprised how they turn out either. Both groups are at fault here.

They act like it's mustard gas, but it's a really minor irritant. Certain military specialities get exposed to it frequently. There's no registry or presumptive disability percentage for it AFAIK. But people in Portland are dumb, I wouldn't be surprised if they aggravated it somehow. Anything that hurts them amuses me.
If tear gas seems to be the same as the CS gas the Army uses in the gas chambers to test gas masks and to fuck with trainees.. It's not that bad iirc. A few of the oldheads in my unit had been exposed to it so much they almost developed an immunity to it. They'd have their gas masks off talking normally while I was coughing my lungs out and had snot running down my chin.

My reaction to this news is basically this moment.

Also, I just NOW found out about this and I wish I was dead.

SkyNet is a shitlord like us!

Seen some minor bruising happen after shooting some hot loads through a Mosin Nagant while prone. That steel buttplate isn't exactly forgiving. But AR-15s have no noticeable recoil, feels like the buffer spring eats it all up. Great gun for everyone, including children and the infirm.

I've fired 9mm handguns and .22 rifles but I've never fired a 5.56x45mm out of an AR-15. How does the recoil compare to 9mm and 0.22?

Next time I get a chance to visit the US hopefully I'll be somewhere where you can go to a shooting range.

Hitler never had any intention to rule of the whole world, he was a continental european strategist similar to Bonaparte.
That continental thinking shows best with the development of the Kriegsmarine which except the U-Boats hadn't even the power of a fleet in being, he only thought in continental european scales and all he wanted was to get rid of the Jews and the Commies.
If we could have avoided the war with the USA and could (theoretically) have won the war, Europe would be in a better shape than it is today that at least is sure.
I think a more realistic scenario than "The Man in The High Castle" would have been Germany rules over Europe (including the European parts of the USSR), The UK retained its Empire, Japan rules over Asia including India and the USA rule over both of the Americas.

Depersonalising the enemy has always been a tactic. I watched a Vietnam war doc a few weeks ago. They interviewed an infantryman/grunt. he said something about depersonalisation and going from civilian to killer that went something like this - "Throughout training they kept referring to the Vietnamese as gooks and chinks, when we got over there we got into an engagement and I killed a Vietcong. At that point I swore to myself that I would never kill another human being ever again. After that I was killing gooks, chinks and zipperheads, I never killed another human again in that war".

Want to get over the "I'm going to hurt another human" hurdle? Don't make them human anymore.
"They're nobody so of course I felt nothing when I shot them. Why would anyone be upset that nobody died?"
Using wordgames and mental gymnastics to justify your actions is becoming far too common.

It's more common than you think. "Othering" the enemy is one of the first things that happens in wartime.

There were rumors that the SEAL teams would activate tear gas and exercise in the room with it to make themselves immune to it. I don’t know if it’s true or just shit the guy in boot camp told us.

It's not much more than a .22 if firing out of a rifle. It's tiny compared to a proper hunting round.

This is why I want to homeschool. Yeah, I want to design the curriculum and teach them problematic things like Western values. And I imagine they'd accomplish more in less time without the school system weighing them down. But mainly because I think dumping kids into gen pop seems like a really awful way to raise them. I never bought the popular idea that children must be abused by their peers in order to learn how to deal with adversity. If I believed that, I could still abuse them much more efficiently myself. And I don't think spending all day with children their own age accomplishes any meaningful socialization. It seems more like something that would retard socialization. Liberals talk about a school to prison pipeline, then act shocked that we want to keep kids from setting foot in the pump that feeds that pipeline.

As for being naive to danger, I can take care of that, too.
