Communists love allying with any social group that has a grievance, justified or not, in a country where they are trying to take over. The reason that American conservatives in the mid-20th century were able to delay black civil rights, gay rights, feminism, etc. for a generation by alleging that the largest groups lobbying for those causes were riddled with Moscow-controlled spies was because it was true. Same for the first 50 years of the labor movement in the U.S. - it took the United Auto Workers finally expelling communists in the 30s for unions to go from marginalized to practically a fourth branch of government from the FDR to Nixon eras.

The U.S. did a great job of becoming a much more free and tolerant society over the course of the 40s through 60s, obviously not always in an ideal way, and most of these groups found that they would much rather live in a liberal America than risk what they had achieved in a revolution. It also became much more apparent what was really going on in the Soviet bloc and the notion that it was any kind of paradise for minorities got dispelled among those willing to pay attention.

The same pattern was present in Russia, Germany, China, etc. When the communists actually won the reality of totalitarianism set in. There is no tolerance for any group identity outside of the state, the pursuit of sexual liberation is bourgeois decadence, and all of that stuff about defunding the police and abolishing prisons - well, we won't be having any of that in a regime based on constant surveillance and gulags. There's also just the fundamental fact that Communists, like Nazis, are motivated by psychosexual sadism. Fundamentally they like torturing people and that's why the leaders get into the ideology, with the saps in the followers comprised of useful idiots and true believers like the people who think they will be furry anime appraisers in the new society. In Cuba the Communists re-established slave plantations as a method of sugar production just so they could send gays there and literally work them to death. That's what ultimately happens to these groups in leftist regimes. The fact that the SA people can't see what would happen if they ever won makes them all the more pathetic, but that's what you get when you've totally devoted your life to the goal of blocking out reality.

This was allowed to slide until a QCS thread pointed it out, after which the C-SPAM mod said nobody reported it and a weak probation was given.

Fast forward a few weeks later, Lowtax got wind of what happened and immediately banned Lastgirl for making terroristic threats. Cue a bunch of people in C-SPAM coming to QCS begging for clemency for their posting pal.

It seriously is mods protecting posting cliques. During the QCS threads where some were wondering why C-SPAM posters were getting away with posting that, say, Bernie Sanders should be assassinated for losing, Lightning Knight was posting elsewhere saying his first priority was to protect C-SPAM.

China's "One Child" policy was designed to make people dependent on the state (also about erasing ethnic minorities). A large family meant that you could be supported by your children, so if you got unpersoned or w/e, it was no big deal. By forcing couples to only have one child (well, actually two), they were now nearly wholly dependent on the state for care in their old age.
Additionally you couldn't afford your one child to be counter-revolutionary or thought criminal, and society made any child who thought about stepping out of line feel like the most worthless scum ever for endangering their ability - as their parents' only child and only source of support in old age - to support the parents who raised them.

Of course the slapfight with India is showing the downside to that policy, which is no soldiers want to unneedingly risk their life or health for that exact same reason. China doing away with the one child policy in 2015 means that China is likely starting to plan for starting to flex in 2035 or there abouts - right around the time their navy upgrade is supposed to start coming online.

It was somewhat cathartic watching her posting go from 4 paragraph thought exercises on how to arrange crops in Stardew Valley to one line "kill the rich kill the fascists" posts in a very short period of time. Which was even funnier considering she was an upper-class suburban white woman herself.

I'm not saying you can't be correct, but for some reason I associate the Lastgirl handle with hearing an actual girl on voice. The rest of the post stands though, because unless it was an artfully planned posting gimmick, they definitely felt like a normal person that turned into an insane one over time.
