I'm not sure if I'm reading this properly, but according to ACLU of Idaho, they're not even trying to ban trannies from sports. They're trying to keep them competing under their birth (real) gender.

House Bill 500 would prevent student athletes from participating in sports according to their authentic gender identity, a departure from current guiding policies from the Idaho High School Activities Association.

I was interpreting "according to their authentic gender identity" as their tranny identity, not their real one so I may be wrong.
