What will happen if the unemployed lose the extra money but do not gain a job to make up for it?
Crime.
Crime will happen.
With no money to pay for essential bills, rent, etc people will start robbing shops and their neighbors.
Desperation makes people do ugly things.
Don't forget the rising rates of suicides, substance abuse, and domestic disturbances. All caused by these lockdowns.

They had no right going on as long as they have, and anyone demanding for extensions is a short-sighted moron.

I'm very curious what the fallout will be if we lose that extra $600. $450+600= $1050 and that doesn't cover most rents in LA. Cue mass migration to Texas, I guess!

Funny you mentioned that. Son and family moving to TX next week. CA no longer for them.

Have seen things predicting a wave of evictions once the enhanced unemployment ends. My guesses - a. The extra money will go until the end of the year. b. Expiring local/state moratoriums on evictions will be renewed and extended. c. Some sort of help will be provided to small landlords who just rent one or two places, or rent out rooms in their house. d. One more round of stimulus checks.

Yup. However will we be able to tell the ones peacefully protesting for civil rights from the ones out salvaging to feed their families? T'will be quite difficult I fear.

Ding, ding, ding! WINNAH! Can EASILY see these groups joining in some sort of common cause. You already have some unemployed who have been peacefully protesting for civil rights.

In my opinion, the amount of lessening of the house arrests that had occurred up to a few days ago was just enough to forestall large-scale violence among the unemployed. Believe continued tightening of house arrests, especially if the extra $600/week unemployment isn't extended, will set the stage for the shit hitting the fan. As it is, lines for food from food banks are growing.

Have said this before, have said it again. Hungry people will fight so their children can eat. Here, it won't be because we don't have the food, but because government will not allow people to work. Have never seen such a thing happen before, and am in my seventh decade of life.

"They" need to stop this shit. Just stop it. By now, the vast majority of people have accepted the ChiCom Flu as a new part of life. By not putting the ChiCom Flu numbers into context and perspective, the government and the media have lied to and misled the people. Look at the CDC numbers for numbers and causes of death in the USA, and the CDC estimates re the "regular" flu during the flu season of 1 Oct 19-4 Apr 20. Once you have these numbers, ChiCom Flu is a problem but certainly not worth further damaging our economy and fucking over the American people.

The Oklahoma state board of education voted against mandatory masks at schools. Recommendations and guidelines only. The state superintendent is upset. She can eat shit. Most school districts are coming up with their own requirements already.

I was getting in two gym sessions a day (Gym had bullshit 1 hour sessions) on my lifting days before Herr Newsom closed the gyms again. Which pisses me the fuck off since I was getting a crazy amount of definition especially on my arms and chest in such a short amount of time. Oh well, guess they want me running 7-8 miles a day on the reg without a mask on instead like I was doing up until June.

Not going to bullshit here, but with the dovetailing of the ACAB crowd being one and the same as the shutdown stasi I hope they don't mind if I consider turning to a life of crime against soys (Although I bet fencing a shitload of Nintendo Switches at once would flood the local market) if there isn't some form of unemployment extension. Have to eat and pay bills you know, and I'm sure no dumbass prog ever thought through that maybe, just maybe laws and the police aren't here to oppress groids and poors but also to protect retards such as themselves from formerly good minded people who've stopped giving a fuck.

Hate to be that guy but such a break down would lead to change America so desperately needs. Once people cease depending on the system is when the system (and those with power over it) lose power over folks. That's the only time a change in management can begin and boy does America need new leaders who are not clueless kiddie diddling vampiric lizards

the US is so fucked...

im in the same boat! i get only half my Bonus and i get them in STAWK at a fixed price(its basicly 1/4 of the normal bonus because our STAWK tanked hard).
its very unfair, i did my job good, no fire, nobody stealing pipes or other stuff (we lost 10.000$ in IT hardware but that was old hardware and nobody knows if it was stolen or went to the crusher ) and i even did extra work by teaching asians the ways of not burning down a Cracker...

Has everybody accepted the Covid as a new part of life? My whole social circle is talking about whether it might actually be wise to do a full lockdown (like no grocery stores) after one girl's grandma died over the weekend.

I think you need to find a new social circle. Did everyone just forget the absolute madness of this Spring where people went fucking nuts buying up everything in sight? Oh who am I kidding of course they fucking did. Nobody has a memory span that lasts more than a month anymore.

Yeah, nobody remembers that. Our brains are all fried by constant fear and death.

I remember it quite well, and have been building up stocks of certain things, My brain sure as hell isn't fried with fear. I choose not to live in fear. And if the media wasn't aggravating the living shit out of those stupid enough to believe their lies many more people wouldn't live in fear.

I don't know ANYONE who has the ChiCom Flu, and a number of people I interact with are in their 70's and 80's.

Face it, the ChiCom Flu is here to stay, just like the "regular" flu. As soon as "they" realize it and stop fucking with us, the better off everyone will be. Americans can handle ANYTHING as long as they know they are getting the straight story, and they are not getting the straight story from the media, only from certain places on the Internet, KF being one of them.

Believe "they" really should pay attention to what's going on out in the real world and stop sucking each other's dicks. In the real world people have lives, which they are increasingly unwilling to have fucked with by a bunch of politicians. At the rate things are going, can see widespread civil disobedience, with the possibility of widespread sporadic violence.

Tell them that locking down grocery stores and fast food restaurants can help cause a famine and even riots.

You guys think people are agitated now, just imagine them being forced to ration what food they managed to acquire.

Unfortunately everyone I know who's had it are the WORST people to have it. Its like testing positive to the damn thing made them virtue signal even extra harder - and of course its always everyone else's fault they got it, and never their own.

Yeah, nobody remembers that. Our brains are all fried by constant fear and death.
It's like counter-intuitive fear.
We have reached a state in human (de)evolution where the imagined threat (COVID hype) outweighs the immediate threat (starvation).

A rabbit has multiple predators waiting to meal out of it. Every time it leaves its burrow it lays down a scent trail for bobcats & foxes. Every time it passes through thick brush corridors it runs the risk of a rattlesnake in ambush. Every time it ventures into an open meadow it could be grabbed by a hawk.
Yet the rabbit still ventures out every day because the threat of starvation still outweighs the threat of real predators around any given corner.

It's like we have regressed so far as a species that some of us don't have our fucking priorities in order, and a threat that could and would kill each and every one of us without regard to age & fitness has become just the stuff of tear-jerker charity commercials - meanwhile a minor concern which the vast majority of us would survive has become the end of the world all because the man on the TV said to be scared...
*sigh*

When you actively shit on history, how does anyone have any perspective? There are morons who are only two or three generations removed from the real horror of natural childbirth and reproduction in general in nature that think it was all a great lie that we need modern medicine at all. They are so insanely ignorant, I do not even know where to start.

And so it goes with CV-19. No one has any idea how bad diseases were in the past and they make retarded decisions not to vax because those diseases either are not bad or better than CV-19. Absolute insanity. I bet if you asked any person on the street why we vax against tetanus, they would not know. They know nothing of the disease at all or how horrifying a death is from it. We are not taught about these diseases in school at all. So when CV-19 wanders up, it can easy be spun to be the worst disease ever because people were not taught what bad disease even means or is.

At least when they're teaching this in history textbooks to kids in 50 years, everyone will read "There was a pandemic that made everybody stay in home. Coincidentally, a bunch of people went out to protest halfway through," and think "Damn, they were retarded for doing that." Right side of history, my fucking ass.

I'm genuinely fearing they'll make true to their word that they'll try to extend this lunacy to last 2 years or more. Their hellbent resolve to make the very fabric of society suffer over a fucking coof has made that abundantly clear to me.
You've got it a bit backwards. They're using the coof as an excuse to make society suffer for multiple reasons (profiteering, wear them down for social engineering, punishment for electing orange man, etc)
