It would, but it wouldn't be the first "tough on crime" initiative that's all flash, no substance.

You're arguing that there might not be fire, but there is a substantial amount of smoke.

Unless you're arguing that Nick running a horrific and incriminating online presence, sending a video of himself masturbating to his own feces to a LEO, getting arrested for child sexual abuse (even if not yet convicted), and trolling several victims (or, what, creating a huge trail of sockpuppets?) is part of his :ruse:, I don't know what you're getting at here.

Is it possible that Nick is a troll? Sure. It's also possible that Chris is a troll and has slowly ruined his life over several decades as part of his epic trolling scheme. I really don't think we get anywhere by humouring the possibility.

IIRC your family has to deposit money into an account that you use to buy "non-essential" supplies/foods/calls (commissary). It REALLY varies from state to state, or even institution to instituition though, and some will allow the general population inmates to just make whatever calls they want for free, but they're all monitored and they have a time limit.

That being said, because of Sick Nick's offenses and mental health issues he probably won't be put into genpop. If he's in a segregated population or solitary (some states have abolished solitary, not sure about PA), then his privileges will be few and far between.

Also something to note, since I remember seeing something about a mental health facility, this is highly unlikely. There are virtually no beds left in those facilities, and are a last resort for placing an inmate. Maybe if his life is in danger they would move him, but that would probably take him getting assaulted and moved multiple times before he's even on a waiting list for it. Prisons are our mental health facilities now, and have been for decades.

Alright I'm done sperging about prisons now.

I didn't see it but there are screen caps of him admitting it an saying some really sick stuff about his sister.

Question for the Legally knowledgeable kiwi's, I am guessing Nicks going to have to sit some form of psychological evaluation in prison on the lead up to the trial would that ever become public record or because it's relating to his medical records would that be kept private?

My greatest fear is that Nick's "Those chats were many years ago; it was only fantasy" claim works. (Or it wins him mercy on the severity of his charge or his sentence.)

Showing the court that Nick has confessed recently (and since he was accused) destroys that claim.

If it becomes a issue I know for a fact that they can ask Twitter for a copy of the tweet, Twitter doesn't exactly delete the tweet from it's database when you delete it just removes it for public an private view.
However I don't see it becoming a issue he has repeatedly admitted it, he has heavily sexualised tweets regarding his sister AND multiple confessions, he isn't getting off.

Not a lawyer, but aren't trial materials public? Not in the "uploaded for all to see" kind, but in the kind where you can put in a request to see a copy of the material? I imagine the evaluation would make it into the trial somewhere.
