I mostly just caught screenshots of the pro-loli side to be honest, most of the anti-pedo argument is missing in those. The debate went on for hours across a span of two or three days. It was only one anti-pedo person vs. the entire server though.

While I do believe that loli/shota art shouldn't be illegal, the arguements they are making are retarded.
There's evidence that well known loli artists have used real pedophilic content as reference, so it does harm people. Saying looking at porn isn't the same crime as pedophilia, while true, is highly reductive on the role that acting as a demand has on the output of the supply of the material. I.E. It actively encourages more pedophilic pornography to be produced. Comparing homosexuality (and even transexuality) to pedophilia is fucked up due to one of the participants of pedophilic acts being unable to consent due to being too young to fully understand the situation.

The only comparison Digi would truly try to make would be that liking lolicon, much as being trans, gay, bi w/e isn't by choice. If you are adamant that lolicon harms children, they why don't you think it should be illegal? Comparing homosexuality to pedophilia is not absurd as homosexuals (not all) commit child sex crimes at a disproportionately high rate. One can also look at loli hentai without paying for it, in this way they would not be encouraging the production of more pornography. Also, even if an artist may use CP as a reference, the impact of this is less than simply producing CP.

True and it being archived is a good thing. Defending drawings is one thing (and even that has it's unavoidable detractors such as mentioned in above replies) but this seems to escalate the subject. I fear him making his wish to be a "big loli" crossed the line between anime and reality.

I don't know if this is part of his trend to escalate subjects or that he now just coming out as a pedo. I didn't think the bearded trash hobo talking about anime would turn out to be such a scary presence to his "following", but from what I've seen read and seen now, the FBI might want to add someone.

I was pointing out flaws within their arguements as they were poorly constructed. I will admit that I went a bit too hard on loli artists and a lot of my arguements were extreme cases.
However:
Homosexuality is different from pedophilia due to the mere act of engaging in pedophilic desires is illegal whereas it isn't for homosexuals.
Piracy still contributes to the market as it shows that there is a demand for the material. Thus the provider of the pirated material will still try to source new material, and thus causing a need for a supply to be made.
While true that loli artists that use CP as reference material are pess harmful than producers of the illegal content, they still cause an increase in the demand in the amount of CP needed which could lead to an increase in the supply of CP material.
All this to say, while I used extreme examples in my points, loli hentai has a harmful side to it. Now not all loli artists are as extreme as this, hell I bet most aren't, but these points still need to be considered as they are the views of anti lolicons.

The main reason is however, I feel like 99.9% of the artists implementing it are on the level. I feel like loli art is the same as furry art where most people don't use illegal material for their reference material. It is just a few bad actors that ruin it for everyone.
