Hadn't the house been observed multiple times accepting drug shipments (which have been retconned into mistakes, or the real drug dealer using their address without their knowledge)? And the bf immediately grabbed his gat and shot one of the cops, something even the most "no step on snek" law abiding citizen is probably going to hesitate to do.
I suppose it's possible he really dindu nuffins, but that would make this case both a unicorn and giant violation of Occam's Razor. The mere fact it's one of the exemplar BLM cases, alongside Trayvon and Gentle Chokeslamming Giant Mike Brown and all the other multiple violent offenders has me skeptical.

That's not quite what happened though. It was the right house (but tertiary to the actual drug operation which had been raided successfully earlier without a hitch) but the boyfriend thought it was a home invasion and shot at them, so they fired back and she got hit in the crossfire. The police claim they did end up knocking and announcing but the boyfriend and neighbors say they never heard that, and since nobody was wearing cameras it's hard to tell if the cops are lying to cover their asses or if the witnesses are pulling another 'hands up don't shoot'. Personally I think no-knock raids should be more restricted anyway and are one of the vanishingly rare good things that might actually come out of BLM but it's really just a shitty situation all around, I think the cops did fuck up on a few levels there but unless they were doing some Training Day tier shit like Gerald Goines was in Houston it's hard to say it was criminal levels of fucking up.

And yes the cops either weren't wearing body cams or lost the footage later on. The cops not wearing body cams I think is a convenient excuse and I wouldn't be surprised if they did have them but got them wiped in the aftermath when they realized they fucked up.
And lets be honest you hear a bunch of people trying to break their way into your home at 1 in the fucking morning you can bet your ass I've got my gun ready.

Poked around a little and found better info than what I had heard about Breonna Taylor's case. Sounds like it was bad info that the cops had that sent them to that house, then further bad behavior by the cops when they didn't identify themselves right away.

The skepticism is fair but consider Breonna Taylor's case took months to gain traction and it wasn't until after George Floyd's case had started to die down a bit that it got pushed into the national spotlight like it is now. They are screaming for justice but don't ever bring up details of the case like they do for all the others which leads me to believe they know Taylor's case doesn't work with them lionizing criminals.
