Historically it was a practical thing to have, so depending on how old the Williams cemetery is, it could be a somewhat common thing to have down there.

Is it normal for the girlfriend/boyfriend of children to be listed in parentheses like that or is it a southern thing? If I didn’t know who it was, I’d think it was an aka for them.

I can say from experience that is is very common, and in some places they bury their immediate family on their own property.
Also, the obit says that Norma and Jerry were "life partners". He is not listed as a husband.

You know Amber should view these two women, Norma and Mendy (Mendy was a cool lady) as a warning. Cancer can seem like it's caught and you go through your treatments and what not, you go about your life and breathe a breath of fresh air, then you get a routine test or scan and BOOM not only is it back it;s in places it never was before and now you face a race against your own body.
I am going through this now, Amber may think she is in the clear but unless you are free of it for 5-10 years you are not in the clear.

Akshooally, it says "her life long partner". I think @FrazzleCakes might have sumthin' to say about that. Looks like a hick wrote the obit. I like that it's just "Amber Lynn", she's like Cher, ya know--so you tube famous she needs no last name. Also, what is this "lie in state" shit?
