I like to be optimistic, and think that with some time, things will always get better. But I wonder if the people in East Germany in 1946 said "Yeah, this is crazy and sucks, but how long can this really last?" Im sure the Feds are getting close to it in Portland at this point and even more so if this continues to November.
Also if they are making 400k with OT, that department really needs to find a way to get more Officers.

I'd bet the feds are making bank. Overtime, probably more, probably hazard pay of some kind, a per diem for travel that is probably more than they can spend with probably only being able to eat in the hotel anyway, etc.
