U.S. Riots of May 2020 over George Floyd and others - ITT: a bunch of faggots butthurt about worthless internet stickers

Immediate goals? They probably want the Feds to abandon the courthouse which they'll promptly burn down or take over and establish an even gayer version of Portland CHAZ as a giant middle finger to the orange man.

Girl on that stream keeps shouting at the marshalls on the roof (apparently, they wont pan up and show them) that the marshalls "can't see our cute butts from up there. Come down so you can see our butts". And she started chanting a rhymed list of demands I didn't catch all of but included "Number Four: Kick Ted Wheeler Out The Door!" She's maudlin that she can't get others to chant with her, though.

These protestors are so obviously trying to provoke a violent response.

They need a win. They've got nothing to show for 58 days of venting their anger.

Minneapolis and NYC got police budgets slashed (complete with crime surges). Kentucky got the Breonna Taylor act passed (banning no-knock warrants). Seattle got CHAZ (and then lost it). Portland got PD budget cuts, but not all the ones they wanted, and that was over a month ago.

When you march around screeching "WHOSE STREETS OUR STREETS", and then you can't enforce your will on the biggest symbolic part of the streets, it focuses the anger. Nobody is listening to their insane demands, and they probably think a show of strength will force the politicians to give in, even more than they already have.

There's now people pulling ropes on multiple sides.

Augh this girl on stream is so annoying(shes talking to Vet for peace I think her name is Arex or something "unique" like that), she tried to say that Portland riots are comparable to boot camp for the military.

Thinks The Young Turks are intelligent

And that a "press wall protecting the rioters" somehow means the press can do it with out consequence.

I theorized the reason why people are acting like this is because being holed up inside for prolonged periods of time can make people crazy. However, I don't wish to give these people the benefit of the doubt. They've caused too much damage for amensty to be considered an option

The main reason people are acting like this is because the Media is creating a perspective that it's a resistance to genuine authoritarianism and brutality so police can't handle it like they would a normal riot. Also Dems are trying to capitalize on it for the sake of the election, hamstringing the police compounding this further.

Girl on stream: "I'm not, like, here to say there are good people on both sides... 'cause there aren't. But I'm not here to simp for anyone. Do you ever watch The Young Turks? You should. [...] It honestly feels like the most honest thing I've watched in years'.

I don't know whats worse, her saying that, her voice, or the fact that Portland has just been a giant tease all night.

Are these people insane? Do they even know what they want? Mob of them chanting "feds go home" and "whose streets? our streets!" right now. And I'm seeing the odd laser being shone around as well. Just what do they think the end result of this would be and why do they think that would be desirable? And I'm not talking about a Fed response, I'm talking about if somehow the rioters were successful? It would be a disaster for them.

EDIT: They've started throwing cable over the fence and are trying to pull it down now to get the Feds to come out and have some confrontation.
If you edit the videos to be more sepia, add a couple sound effects, you could tell me this was a radical coup in a third world country and I'd believe you.
