So I checked out the
Soul Eater commentary for episode 30 since Jamie was in it
and I have the DVD to see if there was anything worth pointing out. Cherami Leigh (Patty), Jamie (Liz), and Todd Haberkorn (Death the Kid) did it, and Jamie and Cherami sound the same, I can't tell who's who when they're talking over each other in all honesty. Quick timeline,
Soul Eater was licensed at the very end of 2008, and so the first volume of four sets was released February 2010. Episode 30's commentary
had to have been anywhere from 2010 to 2011 (I'm assuming 2011 since the Weapon Collection was released August 9, 2011). What year did Vic assault Jamie's hair, again? Either her or Cherami said during the character shout-out that Vic was hilarious as Spirit Albarn.
There was this, though, but it's nothing new:
Todd: For those of you that aren't familiar with Texas, [the long distance shot of the characters walking in the desert] is a typical landscape for Texas in the summer.
Jamie: It actually reminds me a lot of the long, long drive if you were to drive from Dallas to Los Angeles.
Todd: Yes. That's a very long drive.
Cherami: Why would you do that?
Jamie: (chuckles) Because I'm stupid. (sigh) There's a lot of fun things on the side of the road that you could (mumbles)
Otherwise, this commentary was boring, they don't talk about what their day(s) in the booth at all when it came to dubbing this show. They gush about their characters or whatever's going on the screen, but that has nothing to do with the production at all. At least there was no shrill voice to be heard in this one.
