Reminds me of a clip from the real housewives of atlanta. They are visiting a site of the underground railroad where slaves escaped to the north. I don't get what it is with people like this who are constantly using language associated with authority. They're always talking about being 'allowed to' or 'validated'. On some level I think that they want some actual authoritarian/a father substitute to put a boot down on them. It's probably why they are obsessed with Trump because it's like getting to 'rebel' (on Twitter and Instagram) against daddy. Probably the same reason they're always obsessed with white people, too, since there's a pretty clear parent-child relationship in the west with whites and nonwhites; and you have so many of these dumbass people like Tess who want to play symbolic mommy to her brown 'kids' rather than be a decent mom to her own because you get more Twitter clout with the former and more work with the latter.
