Speaking from personal experience (and without PLing), I can tell you that even people with fairly mild aspergers can benefit from social skills training (bare minimum is probably the nonverbal communication and active listening areas). Based on what Amanda has revealed about her work life, it's pretty safe to assume that she received little to no help in the social skills department.

Hard to say. You don't need to be a tard to get help from places like RAMP or Challenge Unlimited. You can simply have a behavior disorder, be sentenced to TIP Court (drug court), or have a mental illness. People with college degrees have received help this way. DRS/DHS has to agree that the person's ability to keep and hold a job on their own is precluded by their condition.

Personally I think it has minimal effect. Tards are gonna tard regardless, but the high ups in these agencies and the state counselors working for DHS don't care what we think. They have their ideas that client centered plans actually work for helping them get employed. I disagree because that puts them squarely in the "customer" category meaning if they are held accountable, or if a case worker calls them out on their shit, they turn into mechaKaren and demand to speak to the manager.
