I think it's simpler than that. Bob is a throne-sniffing opportunist, and grasped pretty quickly (because only an utter imbecile could fail to grasp it) that there is no clout to be found by staking out a centrist or god-forbid-right-wing position in the new media. Everyone he liked and looked up to was firmly on the left, and more and more strident about it as time went on. In a way he's not wrong; if Bob had even the faintest hint of being on the right his loathsome rhetoric would have gotten him destroyed years ago.

Also, all the positions he chases include stroking their adherents' intellectual vanity, so that's a big plus for him -- Bob Is The SmRtst, always.

I also think that Bob doesn't know what "working class" is, or how stupid and nonsensical a term like that is in any real, modern economy to begin with. (If he's thinking about "entry-level manufacturing jobs" specifically, such as assembly line work, they're only about 1% of the entire modern economy to begin with, since most of our economy is service, not manufacturing - not to mention that "jobs" in manufacturing include everything from entry level work, to programmers and engineers who design and mantain manfucaturing equipment).

Isn't 7 pages too much for just <3000 words? He writes articles, right? That's 400 words per page in average, unless he measures everything in Tweets.

As someone who just went through a drawfag block, forcing yourself over it at 2am is a guarantee to make shit content, you should take a rest for a couple of days and continue early. In his defense when you're in a block is hard to distinguish if it's because you're not doing enough or you're over exerting yourself, but usually is the latter.

A more intelligent person will generally be able to climb the ladder more effectively and have a broader reach because of that. The inverse is true: a less intelligent person will affect fewer people by their actions, in general. It's their own personal morality that guides what their actions will be. We shouldn't forget that some of history's greatest monsters were highly intelligent people, and they were able to use their gifts to cause widespread suffering.
