She's got a deal with Fakku and she makes exactly the kind of schmaltzy kind of stuff you'd see on Skinimax with an interconnected story to boot. Real porn simply can't compete for telling a good short story with erotic elements the way a comic book can.

I figured live-action porn with even the most minuscule attempt at a plot was a thing of the past and hentai has that niche now because Japan, but I've also figured it's been so long since those days that I'm surprised nobody ever did it as a one-time cheap sales gimmick or whatever.

Honestly, with 2000's nostalgia primed to come into vogue, I think you could make a couple of "Skinemax"-style softcore flicks again if you play up the kitschy and campy comedy and the 90's/2000's nostalgia angles, especially since these movies were made on very low budgets which is why they kept going until the late 2010's when you had the AT&T buyout of HBO. It wouldn't be a super-lucrative market, but it could work if you marketed it more like a low-grade B Movie as opposed to a regular porno.

On the topic of Skinemax, have anyone seen the tv show Banshee? It was a good action show that doubled as a softcore porno.

I don't think pornographers can shoot a movie/show porn combo, they would have to use wide shots and I think the concept of those will break their brains. For as crappy as Sidaris' movies were you could tell it was a real movie just by how it looked even though there were big fake tits bouncing around everywhere on the screen. Dig up the most south american women-in-prison movie from the 70's and that will also have mostly normal cinematography, because the director knows something about film.

A porn director can't make a movie but can a movie director make a porno? idk, Gaspar Noe already straddles the two and I would like to see him helm a Critters reboot or something stupid like that.

Alternatively why not make shitty soap operas where they have sex between the drama? They're already cheap looking, the actors are awful and the writing is haphazard garbage (remember when Days of our Lives suddenly made the show into Lost because Lost was popular?).
