U.S. Riots of May 2020 over George Floyd and others - ITT: a bunch of faggots butthurt about worthless internet stickers

The Barr hearing has been the saddest shit. All they are doing is mainly ranting over the man and preventing him from answering any legitimate question.

The second he does have some sort of witty reply, they instantly speak over him and start asking loaded questions.
Democrats making me feel bad for former member of the Dubya administration. Barr must be already familiar with this shit though given how much shit Duyba went through.

If I were an officer/fed there, I would not be able to control my laughter or desire to make witty comments. Great on these men for doing so. This literal baboon needed to have water balloons thrown at her mid-speech. That, or a trip to the mental health ward.

Lots of people outside of Democrats won't be satisfied with Barr unless he throws the fucking book at these protesters and whoever the fuck spied on the Trump campaign. I'd like to see some fucking action taken to straighten out the mess we've all been forced to live in and wanted nothing to do with.

Though probably not hugely significant to the nazi german economy overall, I think this shouldn't be left out:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nazi_plunder

I won't deny plunder (although you're right in that it wasn't hugely significant, one could say there were fairly significant things plundered like individual works of art.) although I also won't deny it isn't the first country to do so - it's just the first time it's been put on such an exhibition; regardless, you're right - I can acknowledge bad things as bad things, and that not all things done in the attempt to capture an ideal or embody an ideal are good; I just don't concede on any of my other points.

What is your view on Albert Speer and his book "Inside the Third Reich"?

Speer was an architectural (and domestic) genius - in terms of city-planning at least; in that regard, Speer had a futuristic sense of talent and ambition that wasn't all-too-often seen and Hitler allowed it to prosper - the book itself was a fairly accurate book that received a lot of criticism due to Speer's "lack of focus" on 'atrocities' and all the bad nazi stuff - if you're wanting to know if the book is good information then yes, it is.

If he utterly blows the case and Chauvin gets acquitted, he doesn't want the public to actually know what happened, so that they think the inevitable rioting, rapes, arsons, and murders are somehow actually justified, instead of that the acquittal was entirely justified.

How much do you imagine civil fear of rioting will influence the actual trial and the minds of jurors? Genuine question; I don't see it as possible for them to blow that case and him get acquitted anyway due to how tightly-shut every other report seems to make the case but I do wonder about the reality of external events influencing the minds of those working within the trial.

I just got a call to fix a broken apartment hall light that's been out two weeks. I flipped the breaker. Seven grown men live in this building. Black Lights Matter.

How do they think they can win if it goes down? Rural Americans work physical jobs then come home to hunt, fish and grow their own food. They shoot guns and camp for fun. They fantasize about trespassers invading their property. They understand electricity. It's hopeless.

Most of these individuals have absolutely no common sense and it's staggering. They can list off Commie shit like rapid machine-gun fire, tell you all about whatever stupid shit they learned in college, but they can't fix a leaking sink, cook, put air in a tire or anything really that most people can do in their sleep. None of them have had to develop useful skills because everything is taken care of for them. I maintain that one major benefit of growing up poor is you learn how to fix shit. If you're broke you don't have the luxury of calling 'the guy' to come fix it. You either fix it or you deal with it's absence. Like cars. Something's fucky and you don't have money to take it to a shop? Better figure out what's wrong and fix that shit or you better start walking.

I'm convinced most of these people have never faced real problems or challenges, that's why they have to invent so many and come up with enemies to keep themselves busy, and that's why they don't know how to do anything except bitch. Helicopter parenting is partially to blame, the schools also don't really teach practical skills anymore either. Some of these people have spent 16 or more years in school and they don't know how to do a god damn thing for themselves. I think they call it "omg I just can't adult today" - spoiler alert, you never could.

But, the plus side is, it means easy money for people like us. Old people accidentally installing toolbars and young people not knowing what a circuit breaker is for are two good sources of income. Though I usually don't charge the old people much.

It was not capitalism in the traditional sense: the autonomous market mechanism so characteristic of capitalism during the last two centuries had all but disappeared. It was not State capitalism: thegovernment disclaimed any desire to own the means of production, and in fact took steps to denationalize them. It was not socialism or communism: private property and private profit still existed. The Nazi system was, rather, a combination of some of the characteristics of capitalism and a highly planned economy. Without in anyway destroying its class character, a comprehensive planning mechanismwas imposed on an economy in which private property was not ex-propriated, in which the distribution of national income remained fundamentally unchanged, and in which private entrepreneurs re-tained some of their prerogatives and responsibilities in traditionalcapitalism.
the commies violently expropriated basically all property in order to achieve state ownership of the entire economy.
the nazis violently expropriated only jews and other enemies of the state, but they mostly left the economy in private hands, and even the stolen jewish property was often resold to private owners instead of nationalized.

they did however create a totalitarian state that could basically do whatever it wanted without regard to any laws or limits to its power, and they used this all-powerful state to give direct orders to businesses, orders which no business could refuse.
all the old capitalists, industrialists and land owners still had full ownership and control over their posessions, but every single one of them knew that if an SS man comes around to deliver a command from the führer, you better do as it says, otherwise you'll quickly end up in a prison camp. this way, the nazis essentially implemented a partially state-planned economy without actually having a state-owned economy.

while property rights were technically left intact, in practice peoples freedom to use said property as they saw fit was severely limited, because government could literally tell you at any time what to do with your property, and force you to comply with these orders at gunpoint.

It's actually a terrible case for any kind of homicide, at least from what we've seen. I think a competent defense will be able to cast reasonable doubt on the proximate cause between Chauvin's actions, as bad as they were, and the actual death of someone with COVID-19, a huge overdose of opioids in his blood already, and other severe health problems. All they need is one juror unconvinced that he possibly didn't just OD.

A competent DA would be looking for lesser included offenses like aggravated assault for a felony murder charge, or alternate pleadings like criminal negligence. You'd want to plead every conceivable way of convicting him of something under the circumstances and not put all your eggs in one basket as to proving some kind of homicide.

I'm not sure if Ellison is any good as a prosecutor, but even if he is, the political aspects of the case seem to make it likely he'll go for the glory in some bullshit insistence on homicide, when that just might not be in the cards.

Interesting. Here is a link that has video and blurred images from the "white supremicist biker gang incident". The implication being someone who was involved and may have been pictured here was the "umbrella man". Yet the person hasn't been arrested and isn't named...

https://kstp.com/minnesota-news/mus...lamophobia-in-stillwater-july-7-2020/5785515/

Here is an image of the victim who the reporter emphasizes was dressed just like this "an expression of her religious freedom". (The green really gives me a sense of her unique personality and self expression!) The bikers then almost hate-speeched her by saying "we're watching you!".

This incident has a faint glow in my opinion as well.

If anyone can find un-blurred images of this "incident" please share!

I have some of the unblurred photos, but I think she edited her original Facebook post to remove the one of the diner employees running with the woman’s child. The employees and back of the kid’s head are shown in one of the last photos.

I was willing to acknowledge that, just also owing the fact that multiple sectors of German society existed from the get-go that were ideologically opposed or in argument with the state and the NSDAP but were too vital to the State to simply knock off and wantonly kill despite open disagreement - denying the totalitarianism of national socialism is outright impossible considering it's an ideology voicing a totalitarian view of civilization and social castes, I just simply don't believe the majority of the time it operated to people's detriment (of course, you can point out examples where it has and I'm willing to concede them and bring up a few of my own, people like Hjalmar Schacht who was arguably a fucking master of banking but was ran out of the state's institutions due to internal scandals, something I find fairly detestable personally.) and find that overall society existed along fairly stable lines - the majority of people did run about their day without some concept of 1984 brainwashing required to make them feel like regular people; Hell, even the early, young JFK visited Germany under the NSDAP and found it absolutely wonderful (granted, he saw the most sheltered parts of metropolitan areas, but still, the point remains.)

I won't argue totalitarianism and the existence (nor the cons) of it, I just argue the benefits of it outweigh the reality of the negatives, and the benefits of it greatly outweigh the reality we're standing in now; you can disagree, and that's fine, that's what we're on this forum for, to be able to have some form of discourse - I represent an ideology that lost a war and must accept that and own up to the mistakes of aforementioned implementations of ideology that contributed to said defeat (although mostly massive strategic fucking errors contributed to the direct loss of the war, imo, and internal bickering towards the end of Barbarossa that prevented it from moving forward any - people exalting the capture of Moscow as if it was an end-all victory, when Stalin had no intentions of backing down even if Moscow did fall.)

It's going to be the same in the UK. Assuming you're right of centre you can only vote for a Conservatives. Of course, the Conservative party knows this and also knows if it shifts to left it will gain votes from the left but not lose votes from the right because they have nowhere to go. So long as they're just slightly less bad than Labour and the Lib Dems when viewed from the right, they know there is nowhere else for the right-wing voters to go.

When Tony Blair came in to power and it was a new day in the UK, the left totally backed him so happy they were to get rid of the baby-killing Tories. But I saw through him right away.

I even was angry enough to get a t-shirt made up that said:

NEW LABOUR

NEW TORIES

With 'NEW LABOUR' in true Blue.

I wore it out to a rave one night. I never wore it again. But I feel vindicated all these years later. And that wasn't long before he started all his war-mongering shit, in earnest.

That paragraph you just wrote resonated like a church bell going off in my head. It's all come about face.

Maybe it's time to get some new t-shirts made up?

NEW TORIES

OLD LABOUR

With 'NEW TORIES' in commie Red this time?

The whole political system in the UK has cancer. It's why so many avoid it like the plague. It's all by design.

Hundreds of years ago I think maybe it was worth fighting and those that fought effected real change. It might have been worth giving your life back then. These days?

I'll STFU there, because I'm a political numbskull. Yet I was 'clever' enough to have gotten rotten warmonger Blair's number back then when I was doing drugs and going out to raves.

Ye have eyes to see.
And ears to listen.
And a heart that tells you what is right from wrong.
Even if your brain/intellect tells you otherwise.

Weigh it all up.

Then go with your Gut.

And even if you are wrong, well, no one can call you Gutless.

Who was it that said "one side has all the guns, the other can't figure out which bathroom to use"?

P.S. So if we are talking about Black Lives perhaps she wouldn't mind some graffiti on an abortion clinic? My position is that all graffiti violates property rights so its wrong, whats hers?

Laughable contradiction here. The news was just talking about how the riots are barely affecting anywhere in the city and yet at the same time they can't march through the streets because of officers at this one courthouse.

It's just like Foster in Austin. They don't want to march they want to dominate, and they'll swarm and aim guns at anyone who dares say otherwise.

I find it amusing that there's a bunch of articles going on about Garret Foster's military service when a little research shows that he was in the military for at most 2 years and quite likely only a few months and his job was a airplane mechanic.

Not exactly covered in glory there.
Libs always conflate POG losers with Audie Murphy, when it fits their agenda. See also: Pete BootyJudge, Alex Vindman, Richard Blumenthal, Nathan Phillips.

From my point of view, the nazis are comparable to pedophiles

"From my point of view, the Jedi are evil!"

Fuck off, dude. Communism is antithetical to human progress and survival. In every society that communism was implemented, the communists seized power at a time that the society was doing well and ran it into the ground.

Dislike nazis all you want, but Hitler and the NSDAP came in at a low-point in German history and built Germany into arguably a super power. Extermination camps were pretty bad (and still are) but they don't even hold a candle to the Killing Fields of the Khmer Rouge, the genocides in communist countries in Africa, the ongoing famine in North Korea, the famine in the Ukraine, and the list goes on.
