I've been saying this for years. These people live in wealthy Western democracies, are highly educated (not necessarily in worthwhile fields but they can still earn a living) and have any amount of social safety nets to stop them from ending up destitute and yet they end up fighting against everything that gave them all of these advantages.
It's ultimately all a game for them and they can just walk away from their causes and protests and go back to their comfortable lives because it is all just LARPing anyway. They did it during Obama and they'll do it again after Trump, whenever that is.
