Funny thing about that is thag they're not exactly easily intimidated, they're just very left leaning. I know because i used to be that in my high school years and i used to believe all the covid shit. I wonder if these lockdowns are only happening because it's election year. If not, I'm more afarid if the government would try lockingdown with future flu seasons. I just hope people snap out of it and realize how crazy they are.

Wonder how history's gonna view this 50 years from now? Because one of the things i hate about dems with the situation with covid and the riots is how they judge everything and history by modern standards without considering the same's gonna happen to them in the future

History? What history? The current shitshow with burning everything down and pretending the bad stuff of the past never existed means that this entire lockdown bullshit (assuming it does actually end at some point and doesn't become a perpetual authoritarian scheme) "will never have happened."

This is a fundamental misunderstanding of Hegelian based leftist political philosophy. They believe history has an end point to which society will ultimately advance. This means there is a "right" and "wrong" side of history—the right side is the liberal advancement they support whereas the wrong side is anything "conservative." Hegel actually believed himself that he was this endpoint of history. You also see this come out in Marx, who studied Hegel, as he purported history was a series of class struggles which will ultimately end at a singular societal point. Most Marxist revolutions were buoyed by the attempt to then reach this end point—to get to that ultimate "right" side of history.

But anyone who isn't retarded and has a broad view of history will know that it is something which swings like an autistic pendulum, and what may be viewed as critically important and obvious today is liable to be forgotten in 50, 100, or 1000 years from now. But to these leftists, they think there is an undeniable, ultimately reachable endpoint at which they will be justified as the objectively victorious party. Point is, they don't even consider that they might be viewed as wrong in the future. To them, there is just a right side and a wrong side, and if you're on the wrong side then you're holding back society and hence deserve every type of criticism, hurt, or ill will possible. It's one reason why, I think, they hate religion so much. What does it mean when you read 1 and 2 Kings and see these figures from over 2500 years ago engage in and struggle with the same type of shit you do every day? It means history really hasn't changed humanity that much, and that's antithetical to their political philosophy.

They'll push the narrative that the election was fraudulent if Trump wins again. I don't see how that wouldn't lead to at least some violence. Of course, a string of blue cities in a sea of red will end as well as Paris did during the period of Paris Commune. But there are a lot of big rats in NYC that are ripe for the eating, I guess.

Except they truly didn't expect it last time. Now they'll have contingencies. If they can't win and they can't cheat to win, they'll grind things to a standstill. If that doesn't work, the only thing left is violence. And we've seen (and still are seeing today) that they have mobs frothing at the mouth to go out and act as such.

God damn, with the way these idiots are dragging their heels with reopenings, who knows if things like sport seasons and schools will get back on schedule for Fall. Fewer ways for people to keep their mind off of this farce, and a whole generation of kids getting their necessary education and social interactions taken away in the name of "safety".
