"Safer" never won't sound like complete cyberpunk dystopian shit like Demolition Man. It boggles my mind that anyone can read shit like "safe start" and "social distancing" without making those connections.
The more things go on the more everything feels beyond batshit insane. One county has already announced they won't be reopening schools.

Looks like we're back to COVID19 terrorism. Suddenly all the shit about BLM has vanished off the mandatory thumbnailing on Youtube's main page, to be replaced with...

COVID + Racism.

I guess the upcoming new talking point will be "wear the mask or you're racist." Combined with "don't take the Hydroxy white man, women of color deserve it for free, first."

Is there any country in the world who didn't buy into the hysteria and lockdown retardation? All this shit has greatly soured me, and if there's somewhere in the world where cooler heads prevailed I want to start planning.
Sweden for the most part. Genuinely considering moving there at this point.

Michigan is offering the bar exam online this year. It is expected to be a disaster, as, among other things, the software can interpret any loud noise as a sign of cheating; the software can interpret looking away from the screen for any reason as cheating; poorer applicants tend to have worse internet, potentially leading to problems; and other reasons.

The nation's first online bar exam crashed on Tuesday, July 28. The company is blaming a DDOS attack. The issue was resolved in under an hour* and the test continued, apparently without further incident.
*[Edit: "under an hour" is misleading. According to the article, most people were back to normal within ten minutes, and everyone within about forty.]

From what I've heard japan also didn't lockdown. They do wear mask within their culture though.

My local gubmint just extended our travel quarantine for 3 weeks, and Anchorage emergency powers through Oct 16. Clearly the plan is to drag this out through the election, nice to see the red state government and blue city government working together to fuck us all like usual.

Anchorage Assembly extends emergency proclamation to Oct. 16

Negative result required: Alaska governor announces upcoming change to travel mandate amid spike in COVID-19 cases

Spike? There aren’t enough actual citizens in Alaska to trigger a statistically meaningful spike! Alaska is by definition “Social Distancing USA”. Outside of Immediate Family and Crab Boat Crews (often the same) there isn’t a whole lotta contact going on. I mean when The Japanese invaded a small bit of Alaska during WW2 Nimitz decided it was crueler, more punishing and more militarily effective to simply leave them there and let nature take its course. Many Many years ago the Boy Scouts created a special program for Alaska and s8milar low population locales, called “Lone Scouts”. You get to be a Scout Troop of 1, set fires in your own backyard, and molest yourself.

Nothing is more important to any of them than staying in office. The parasite doesn’t sacrifice itself.

I used to think that was true. I'm really begining to have my doubts lately. If we were talking about the federal government then I would agree. I guess they could just depend on in-person voting being forbidden from here on out and plan to stay in charge through voting by mail fraud.

Nothing much new in Ohio. All the people screaming about mandating masks on the Governor's twitter all vanished the moment he mandated them, almost like they were all paid by AmplifyOhio to push masks, and now it's mostly back to Ohioans telling him to go fuck himself. He did put heavy restrictions on county fairs, after the one his grandkids were involved in was finished. This is mainly because the county fair goers haven't given a shit about masks. This will not go over well, counties fairs are a big damn deal in some of the counties and they've already set up a lot of the rides and such. The Brown county fair, which is second in size to the state fair, shuts a good chunk of the county down for a week. Brown County has had, as of today, 96 Cases, 10 Hospitalizations, and 1 death. Since March. And the guy who died was in another state for an extended period.

The state board of pharmacists also decided to ban prescribing HCQ. It reads like it's just a flat out ban unless they say you can. The establishment is just fucking terrified of it, no doubt as they pop it like candy.

I cannot stress how tired I am of CV bullshit. How much I see through it and how much I wonder at this rate my family and I won`t be rounded up for re-education on it in the future. I thought society had progressed against witch hunt idiocy but I feel I will be proved wrong.

Getting rid of Trump is more important to them than staying in office.
That appears to be my governor's position.
