Has May clarified about the "rape"? First it was a rape or sexual assault when she talked about it when she and Digi first got together pretty early on in that first year. She continued this when defending Digi on Digi vs Everybody when people attacked Digi for defending loli stuff and she used her position as a victim of sexual assault from a young age and as a person who enjoys loli porn and guro today as it helps her mentally. Then, on the Dick show she only went as far as claiming it was some sort of sexual related experience or sexual in nature.

I agree. My cat has clearly shown signs of preference, object permanence and targeted affection/hatred. Disliking animals is a sign of sociopathy as you said. He had a cat at his (parents) place but I never got the sense he really enjoyed "having a cat". And to be blunt, when I got into Digibro as an internet person-thingy, this was the first sign to me that something was wrong. I brushed it aside thinking he was being edgy but disliking ALL animals is just... yeah.

Probably just drama whore stuff, but if just to give the benefit of the doubt; I do feel sorry for her if it affected her to such a level. She's now with someone who will tolerate her damaged mind (cause: you be the judge) but it's still sad that neither of them what to help each other truly climb over the mountain. They just seek deeper valleys to see what kind of eldritch truth might lurk below, to word it like Digi. Have fun hugging Yog-Sothoth.

On one hand, May's new anime video isn't getting ratioed, and the comment section isn't really against her. While people are confused about the re-rebranding, it's not as negative as the initial Diginee rebranding. People in the comments are actually excusing her horrible voice and inflection as "so bad it's good" and the lack of script quality as ironic.

On the other hand, the view count has gone back to being pretty low already, the analysis didn't really go anywhere, and the excuse that it sucks on purpose can only get you so far. Unless the quality improves, I think we've seen the ceiling for this experiment surprisingly quickly.

The video in general really doesn't go anywhere. It says very little and doesn't really leave much thought or dicussion to be had. Its not offensive, but it certainly isn't enlightening or really interesting for that matter. I honestly feel people are checking out, this rebranding to Digi-nee now May being Digibro is just convoluted for the sake of trying to keep trying new shit and hoping it works.

Most people have subbed to him cause they wanted anime related content, preferably long in depth anime analysis, anything that is even remotely connected to what people want doesn't get ratioed. The only vids that weren't ratioed were anime related.
I really don't see what is there to experiment, the audience has been pretty clear- it want anime analysis. Is like those people are willing to try anything, but what most of the fans want. I don't get the mindset, we are down with cash, should we do what the audience wants, nah lets start an only fans and a fiver.
Thing is if they don't go the nostalgia critic route and make a compromise in like 4 months it will take them a long time to be become relevant enough to make ends meet as content creators.

Fun fact: his brother Vic now does more anime analysis than he does (though still a bit awkward and scatter brained, the energy is there). Hopefully Nate will keep pushing videos too. But even if they don't I've found new people who do make good content. Like I said before, Digi had one thing he did well and he blew it.

Not that I think he can ever fully recover from this or anything, but yeah - its no surprise to me that his fans (especially the surface level ones) will just look passed his troonery if he just starts putting out anime videos again. He has to go even further beyond for those people to jump ship.

I don't see what's the problem with him being trans for a while(he was even a poney for a while). I've subbed to get anime related vids. My only problem is that I'm not getting that, instead either really long really incoherent vids in which he talks about himself (he/she is way less interesting as a person then he thinks) or ideas that he has no clue what to do with them so he just dumps them in on the site(like that plan A thing).

From years of watching youtube I have to say only few people can get by on personality alone and most people get all their income from focusing on one subject. I know Digi only wanted to discuss things that interested him and anything else is selling out to him, but you gotta hand it to anime youtubers that milk every inch of a subject, be it one anime or a genre. Just 'cause people want more of the same. Even if the video isn't that fun to make, if it would get 100k views I'd just say bite the bullet and make it. That ain't selling out, thats servicing your audience.

What is Digi( the actual Digi) trying to accomplish here? The main core audience has stayed by him because Digi has seen a shit ton of anime, knows the history of a lot of anime studios and creators, and at his best is able to string together some logic from this knowledge and interest. If May is taking over for anime content that is directly killing the one thing many stuck around for. May from what I have seen does not possess the same variety of knowledge of anime as Digi. Every video she has done relating to anime does not have the same level of incite or research to what a standard Digi analysis video had when people gave a shit. She can barely string together an idea or say anything profound, and she has only seen a fraction of the stuff Digi has which takes away that certain level of perspective Digi gained favor for.
