A lot of people are probably dicking around in GTAV and I've just barely begun to scratch the surface of GTAV. I've kind of had a wierd thought about seeing if there is any Kiwi Crew made up yet for Multiplayer?

I mean I haven't touched Multiplayer but I know there's a crew function.

Discuss?

A friend of mine bought it and mentioned after he downloaded it lacked the game's .exe. And verifying the integrity of the game cache didn't work.

Apparently Rockstar got back to him and fixed the problem but he had to redownload the whole game all over again.

Is it worth the money?
Eh somewhat and I'm kind of regretting buying it. I bought the game hoping that there would be at least a smidge of modding being allowed and it turns out they haven't allowed modding. People are expecting that the modding will pick up when it's fully been cracked by hackers, but there hasn't been any word from the devs about it.

Turns out gtas pricing was in USD and upped the actual price to 97 bucks on my end. Australia has a really good policy on refunds so I'm thinking of expoilting that; if not, we'll there's a leg of ham I need to defrost in the freezer to be my staple meal, I'll tell you how I feel after 5 days of eating ham.

I remember when IV was released on PC it took a while for the modding scene to pick up. Try getting a refund and picking it up this winter during the Steam Sale that's bound to knock 50% off the price.

Modding was never allowed by Rockstar. All of the tools people used for San Andreas and GTA4 were created by people who found out how to hack into the game files. It only helped Rockstar kept things in nice xml files for things like weapons and cars so they could easily tweak them.

With GTA5 I can imagine there's a huge incentive on their part to try and dissuade modding because of GTA Online and how they want to push being able to buy ingame money with actual money.

Expecting mods this early, like a day after the game comes out is highly optimistic. Even games like Fallout New Vegas didn't get "good" mods until at least a year after the game came out. GTA4 alone was almost entirely texture reskins for the first year or so. It'll likely eventually happen given there have already been mods for the console releases but people need to code new tools for the PC version.

You need to give Steam support a valid reason for a refund. The game didn't advertise modding and since it works it's not a valid reason to get a refund.

You can expect 2 weeks for Steam support to get back to you

I'm not fucking joking. Steam has one of the worst refund policies in that they don't have a refund policy on the books. You must contact Steam support and you have to have a valid reason and a lot of patience to get refunded. I don't recommend doing a chargeback because it's against Steam's Terms of Service and can get your account permanently storebanned.

Other stores like GoG have a refund policy but it's very specific. Their refund policy is if you file a ticket within 30 days and their support team cannot get the game working for you, they'll refund all of your money. With Origin their refund policy is much more clear and open though.

Exactly, but I'm sure an excuse such as, "oh my nephew was over and he got onto Steam and purchases GTA V. Can I please remove this from my charge?" could work. Then again, I never try to get my money back for shitty games. I just cry and live with my poor decisions :(

Highly optimistic. I don't expect GTA5 to drop that drastically in price for a really long time. The biggest discount I can imagine them putting on the game in December is 25%.

The only reason devs tend to drop the price to 50% is if the game isn't selling very well. When a game sells well like Wolfenstein the New Order or Skyrim they usually only drop to 50% after a year and a little while.

Finally something that really gets the police in GTA V. I hate them with a passion, they manage to piss me off at every level. Look at a cop for too long? Shoot to kill. Idle while accidentally looking at someone? Shoot to kill. Police crash into you? Shoot to kill. It's fucking bullshit.

i bought the game back when it first came out on 360, it was fun for awhile now I'm on the fence about it. I doubt I'll buy it on PC though.

Cops in GTA V really hate it when you bunnyhop onto their cars with a BMX bike.

Modders have found a way to edit the asset files and replace things in GTA5. People are already starting to create player replacement mods.

Some guy is also making an "HD" CJ skin for GTA5

How is Rockstar with the modding community? I heard they were trying something fishy with banning accounts but I have no real verified info on it.

apparently they're fine with Singleplayer Modding and have reverted a lot of the bans, but who knows.

In real life the LAPD would've shot him the moment he looked at them, tazed their body, give them a parking ticket and then plant drugs on them.

Just a heads up for all the GTA 5 mod users on here: Keyloggers were found in two of the scripts available for GTA5, specifically the angry planes and no clip scripts. More info provided by GTA5-mods.com here. Highly recommend you follow their instructions on what to do if you have downloaded these for your GTA5.
