Yeah honey, I'm sure you make the FUCKING DEATH GOD "uncomfortable." Christ, it's like they're treating Gods like JTT in the nineties. If you're acting like a God is a non-threatening Tiger Beat pinup, what fucking mythology are you reading?

If one day a god destroy our planet as a divine punishment, shit like this will be the reason why.

Tarot was a card game from medieval Europe, goddamnit, but I guess we brownies know better because we live as savages???

You know, if you ever take a Classics class in university, a lot of it talks on how people made up these gods to explain shit and for general story telling since its not like farmers could read or shit, so you made up your own entertainment. Sometimes it was stories of valor to inspire, sometimes it was Zeus turning into something to fuck a woman.

And here we are, in 2020, and dumb tumblr cunts are offering vomited dog food to a photo they printed off the internet of a statue from an imaginary woman and making up a prayer like it'll do anything.

Like why not follow the Greeks of old and learn how to stand in a kitchen and fucking cook a decent meal.

What is that brown stuff?!
I think it's a ruined piece of chicken. Also those broccoli have no spices on them. Wtf.
Im really hoping that its beans...

Damn white people and their... Card games.

Humus. She offered the Greek goddess of rationality and wisdom in war humus and broccoli.
I was going to remark on how ridiculous and lazy that is, especially since she admits she just set some of what she was already having aside for her imaginary friend--which at that point it's even less effort than a weeb posting pics of a birthday cake he bought for the waifu on his computer screen--but then I recalled the syrup cup offering.
Remember everyone, the gods are fine with whatever you give them as long as you tried your "best", even if your best is leftovers.

Nah that's just typical college revisionism. It's more that a lot of ancient myths were seemingly built up as the necessary bedrocks of worldviews in order to inform--not just explain--particular phenomenon, behaviors and cultures.
Civilizations need that ethereal something to not only make sense of material things but immaterial concepts like "justice", "good v. evil" etc. In real philosophy you can't even have a rational approach to epistemology without first accepting the existence of universal truth, and in that you already slam into the supposition of not only the laws of logic ("a tree is not a wombat") but morality as well ("truth is good, falsehood is bad" (ie speaking an untruth to a child about what happens if he runs off a cliff can lead to the kid jumping off the cliff and dying--which is "bad")), and then how do you answer for any of this, which stands extant of man and to which man is beholden (one literally cannot rationally argue against universal truth's existence and yet it would still exist regardless of man's existence)?

"It just is" is a retarded answer and "it happened randomly" is, though less retarded, not quite convincing. We're not talking about atomic formations (material) but existential definition and concepts (immaterial). The idea that truth came out of the Big Bang is debatable, but that it originates from and is dependent upon man is wrong. That's like saying "Time and gravity are just human constructs". Okay, if that's the case then stop aging and walk to a cloud.

Then you study philosophical concepts like Plato's "perfect Forms" but even when Aristotle took up a similar idea he relied on a type of deity to bring these original concepts into existence because, again, they are extant of man (unlike dreams or ideologies etc.).
tl;dr ancient peoples didn't just need gods to answer for why the sky's blue but also to answer for "What is "is" and why should/shouldn't I do X?"
So the next time some ignorant bigot cops persecute a man for the innocent "crime" of practicing his religion he should just make sure to explain about universal truth, epistemology and differing worldviews to them while they're cuffing him against the squad car and trying to calm down the family dog he traumatized.

I really enjoy the acceptable racism of tumblr.

You gotta also love how Asians and Indians also just don’t exist when people are trying to be woke. I guess any PoC that has done too well economically in America doesn’t count

I highly doubt it was because of the good luck posts.

Why would you need to cleanse a blog?

Ok. I don't want to post some big rant here, but I've been trying to figure out why these momos bother me so much.

I think it's mostly because I've had an academic interest in religion/magic/mythology since I was young. Stuff like The greater key of Solomon, The Munich manual of Demonic magic, etc says an incredible amount about how humans viewed the world. But instead of following the rich and storied history available to them, they ignore the entire canon and think corn syrup is an offering to something that could destroy you on a whim. Oh wait, I forgot that gods are apparently the same thing as holistic therapists for your myriad of psychiatric issues. There is at no point in any mythology the idea that gods are there to soothe your fat girl woes. They are the literal manifestations of the extremes of human behavior and nothing beyond that because they were, wait for it, invented by human beings who didn't know anything else. It's like fandom or something to these people, where they just ignore anything they don't like and ship random shit together because it gets their lady parts all tingly. And where in the fuck did get the idea you have to be a basic sjw bitch to practice magic? Again, you're literally just pretending that history doesn't exist at the point because almost all of the known historical practitioners were men. You know, warlocks? I'm generally pretty forgiving of youth culture because we were all stupid kids at some point, but something I've noticed is that this generation is so bereft of creativity they're literally just reliving the 80's & 90's because they wish they were gen x/y, but since they don't have any understanding of the social climate of the time it's this soulless copy of a copy of a copy. I honestly feel like I'm living through the time when The Craft came out, but then I think back and the people I knew who were into that movie actually went out and started looking into the actual history. I'm sure some people were running around try to summon MANNO but I never met them. It's just, don't pretend to be into something that's likely existed since the time of cave dwellers in prehistory when you can't even be arsed to learn basic shit.

Thank you for attending my TED talk.

Because there's crap on it.

I feel you on this one, and for many of the same reasons. I like the whole magic-history genre and how it consistently reflects the culture and times in which the topic is brought up (also "Did you know the founder of Scientology and a NASA scientist once tried to make the antichrist" is a fun bit of trivia.)
Like you, also, it seems like these TikTok and Tumblr witches are empty. They're growing up in a society that is hyper-consumerist and saturated in simulacra. If this isn't just teenage girls being teenagers, and is even the slightest bit indicative of the psyche of the geneation, it's a bit disturbing in a way to be honest.

What's a stimboard and how is it supposed to help with autism? I looked it up and it's just a bunch of gifs.

The "stim" in "stimboard" comes from "self-stimulation." That's when someone with a developmental disorder (autism, ADHD, etc) does something random to occupy themselves, like hand-flapping or humming. They do this to self-soothe and regulate emotions and thoughts. Supposedly, people vicariously stim via stimboards the same way kids vicariously play with toys they don't have via Ryan's Toy World. But I don't see how either of these are favorable to just making some damn slime yourself.

These larpers been mentioned yet? This crowd is basically tumblr witchcraft but 2edgy4u satanist boooooo :woo:
EA Koeting channel reads like a like Pick up artist's goth phase. He has a forum where wicked epic warlocks become living gods and teach each other how to get cute grills through love spells and summon qt succubus waifus to have sex with.

He also sells books and it becomes rather apparent that he is running some form of online cult and i wonder how much he is milking those people. Much of its stuff seem to be ripped directly from horror movies, Hot Topic and vampire the masquerade , it has the popurri vibe you'd expect but the marketing is like of those self help scammers you often see orbiting shy people, feels very premeditated and corporate.
