How can you tell the lockdown must be immediately ended?

The Federal Reserve wants to keep it going for at least another month.

Time to end it immediately.
I knew they were going to demand another full scale lockdown anyway, but I didn't expect the reasoning to be this neck-snappingly stupid. It's one thing to just spew the usual "save grandma" rhetoric but to actually try and claim that this would be good for businesses when the last several months of this bullshit has proven the exact opposite?

"Lets spur the economy by locking every single business for a month thus stopping all flow of product and trade."

*Tilts head...Tilts head other way.* I think this might be the stupidest idea I have ever seen.
It's the broken window fallacy. If you break a shop window, the shopkeeper must pay a glazier to fix it, increasing the gross domestic product by the amount paid for the new window. Scale that up to the entire national economy, and you have a COVID lockdown. It's flawless.

I'm sure all those small businesses that've shuttered or are on death's door will be revitalized by another lockdown.

I swear to god, where are the fucking economists? Are they having a collective stroke over this suicidal prospect?

This is a pandemic. The opinion of economists doesn't matter.
Only the opinions of unelected bureaucrats public health officials (re: "scientists") matter right now!

Everything they have tried to hurt Trump has failed. Completely destroying the economy is their desperate last play.

Let's just call it what it really is honestly. It's a panicemic. Fear is the disease, and (draconian) control is the cure.

It's Daily Wire, a certain midget used to be head editor there, why take it seriously?

first with some worrywart relatives visiting and forcing me to wear a mask in my own fucking house

Kick them out of the house and tell them to stay in a nuclear shelter lol

There's been a lot of sperging recently about the re-opening of schools on the East Coast. Apparently people are protesting against the decision to re-open in September in New York, although I'm not sure exactly what those kids are supposed to do during the day while their parents work.

I guess these masked protests are somehow "safer" than sitting in classrooms?

Because they are not the ones saying it. Neel Kashkari, the president of the Minneapolis Federal Reserve Bank said it.

We should make a deal with the Communists. We'll allow them to put all the bankers against the wall and in return we get to say nigger, everyone wins.

Quote by Kashkari from the article:

“Right now, the U.S. can fund itself at very, very low rates. Congress should use this opportunity to support the American people and the American economy. I'm not worried about it,” he said. “If we get the economy growing, we will be able to pay off the debt.”

So apparently his plan is literally "money printer go brrr", and then after the lockdown, businesses will just operate as usual. Since the only thing a business needs to continue operating as normal after losing another 2 months of business is money.

I feel this is something being pushed by the left in Australia too.

We have states with zero cases, barely anyone in hospital nationwide and only older people (like literally, late 80s/90s/100s in nursing homes) dying. There's no strain on the health system, yet you have people demanding more hard lockdowns, more hard crippling restrictions, mandatory masks for no reason etc.
On the news the other day, the announcer said "a grim new number of infections" - no ones been dying or hospitalised though, that wouldn't have died from the flu. I thought... "grim"? Why is it now that INFECTIONS period, not deaths and not hospitalisations are what's important? It'd be more advantageous to let it spread naturally. Protect those who need protecting.
Why did we go from concern about hospitals, vents and deaths to hyper focus merely on cases when the first didn't eventuate? Why the love of "draconianism" all of a sudden?
Why was it important to have young people drain their savings? It was hyper encouraged here. It's like one Japanese politician said - it's almost like we're being forced to play our parts in the pandemic theatre, on rotation.

I have no idea why conservatives keep defending HCQ.

We were talking about it before Trump even mentioned it. It was found not to be effective. Facts, not feelings.

Because it's worked in other settings. Your profession is just as politically motivated and dishonest as mine. If you can't see the politics at play, you're a part of the problem.
You may as well start insisting men can be women as well.

When, for political reasons, you shun or outright molest genuine research from being conducted, silence those with dissenting research AND at the same time, try and con job the entire world into believing you have or will have a fucking vaccine- a high efficacy vaccine - to end a coronavirus, ever, then you deserve the disrespect and contempt you'll get, just as us in the media have received.

But Fauci, the nation’s leading expert in infectious disease, said the study was confounded by a number of issues, including that it wasn’t a randomized, placebo-controlled trial.

I have a question for any medical kiwis who happen to see this:

A few weeks ago, I heard Didier Raoult, France's major advocate for Hydroxychloroquine claim that the fact that studies are randomized ( If I'm not mistaken ) gave no more credibilty to the results of said studies.

I understand that is a complicated subject, but I'd like to know if his claim is bullshit and Fauci is right ( That randomized studies are qualitatively better. )

What alarms me the most is how easily the general public has bought into the "shame your neighbor for not complying" narrative, and how gleefully they are enforcing it even within their own families and social circles. It's one thing if the government mandates something, quite another if most people willingly hop on-board and do the bulk of the work for them.

It almost feels like the same obsessive self-flagellation expected of SJWs. Perhaps it makes people feel like martyrs or heroes. It definitely makes them feel "intelligent" and "morally superior" to the heartless strawmen who dare to question the constantly shifting goalposts and confusing political rhetoric around the pandemic.

All of this really is a very successful appeal to emotion and mass paranoia.

What I love the most is that doctors are too stupid and dishonest to talk about natural immunity - something forever mask wearing will prevent.
We need interactions with people, with things, to build our natural immune systems. Nothing in life is sterile. Trying to create artificial sterility with masks will make people's health poorer later on. With poor health comes lower IQ, more depression etc. Besides, masks don't work in the way that's being rammed down everyone's throats.

Either way, it's basically creating a bubble boy situation. Doctors know this, because they bitch and moan about it on the daily when it suits them. But dishonesty in the medical/science field is par for the course.
They've been very, very keen on the notion of no handshaking, no touching others, don't be NEAR people, wear a mask, suppress communication, don't visit family etc - we are social creatures and their own studies prove that a lack of interaction, a lack of touching destroys your immune system, that depression destroys your immune system.
Aside from this, living a life under a mask is not natural nor is it viable.

This is the paradox of the medical field - do as I say, when I say it, but don't you dare try and think for yourself or question. Their studies are only as good as the quality of the freedom of speech/thought.
Ergo, we have doctors saying men can be women. They've pushed the idea of it being "the new normal" for a reason.

That filters down to society, because some people love authoritarianism when it's their side doing it. They want any chance to feel powerful over those they disagree with. There's a reason why it's not being pushed as a medical panacea by a lot of top doctors, but instead, being pushed as "solidarity" for those who fear the virus and or "a sign we're taking it seriously". It's a gesture of obedience and compliance.

Anyone who knows moonspeak may care to translate this and this. The Japanese prefecture of Iwate has broken the zero-infection record. The first case was a man who answered the Japanese government's "Go To Travel" subsidy scheme and brought the virus from the Kanto Region. When the news broke, the man was promptly doxed, both his home and his company received hundreds of insulting calls and e-mails.
