This is in the same vein as the whole "Black Lives Matter" thing or "MeToo" or "Believe All Women" term. They mean something different than they actually state.

If the tranny was white they'd just insist that she was a white supremacist so it was justified. No matter what future evidence were to surface about Floyd they'll go down with the ship here, he's their golden ticket, it was easier to dump Michael Brown because they hadn't bet the whole farm on him unlike with Floyd where they've had much more success plus it wasn't very long after it happened that cracks began to show in the "HANDS UP, DON'T SHOOT" story, they won't let their narrative die here with Floyd even if a video surfaced of him raping a toddler with full audio and 4k resolution with no doubt whatsoever that it was him.

It's a slimy form of insincerity where they gaslight you by saying what you know isn't actually true and that you're learning the wrong way, because in order to truly know you must do it this specific way that makes no sense and you know it in your gut.
I will go with what Meat Target said and just call it gas lighting.

During the initial response, officers encountered a hostile crowd and additional police resources were summoned to try to conduct an investigation. Officers initially located the knife used in the stabbing, however as the officers were trying to secure a crime scene someone picked it up and ran off with it. Officers were unable to safely conduct an investigation due to the hostile crowd, and supervisors made the decision to disengage. As the knife is evidence, it should be returned to police custody. Anyone with information about the location of the knife should call police non-emergency at 503 823 3333.
