Yeah, you can tell that he knew right then that he was probably going to die. Not because the cops were 'menacing' or 'itching to kill him' but the thought likely occurred to him that passing counterfeits in tandem with drug possession [maybe trafficking] would result in a fat fucking bid. That is if he wasn't so off his ass that he couldn't form anything coherent. With his rap he probably would've gone away for a long time had he survived that encounter.
Doesn't really matter though. No matter how that situation panned out, the American Left would've been combing the ground with searchlights trying to find a dead black guy they could get angry about. The jogger [whose name sounds remarkably like Armed Robbery] didn't quite do it. Notice how all of those incidents happened pretty close to one another? Armed Robbery got shot by the pickup truck guys, then the 'Karen' incident, then finally they got one past the goalie with Big George. Unfortunately I've come to expect this kind of bullshit in an election year.
2012 - Trayvon Martin gets flim-flammed by the Zim-Zam.
2014 - Mike "Got Killo'd Over Cigarillos" Brown grabbed for Wilson's gun, got magdumped and every witness claimed he had his hands up and his back turned. Bonus - Eric Garner, Tamir Rice.
2016 - Philando Castile got iced, as did Alton Sterling.
2018 - Vanessa Marquez, Jean Botham, Jemel Roberson.
2020 - Well, you know.
The pattern isn't that 'ethnic' people got killed by police, necessarily. More or less the real pattern is that certain cases get honed in on by the media, mostly in election years although occasionally not. Generally though if you read the details of each situation, usually whoever got killed by police was asking for it by brandishing a gun, shooting at cops, trying to run people over, or trying to take a gun. Victim blaming, of course, but none of these factors stop these troglodytes from freaking the fuck out about it. In their minds, cops shouldn't even exist, and begrudgingly if they do exist they are expected to stand around and wait for an armed man to shoot them rather than taking action lest they hurt an African American man that was 'getting his life together' or whatever.
