Don't get it either. Saw people talking about the Wendy's guy saying the police never should have been called. Probably the same people who complain Wendy's doesn't pay people a living wage want an employee to risk their life waking up some drunk guy passed out in their drive-through.

Did I miss a meeting where everyone agreed driving while incredibly fucked up is now acceptable? Without looking up any statistics i'd bet my house more black lives are lost from driving under the influence then cops but they aren't part of the narrow criteria of black lives that matter to BLM.

On Monday, August 3, 2020 at about 10:00p.m., Portland Police received a report of a suspect pointing a handgun at people in the area of Southwest 4th Avenue and Southwest Taylor Street. Oregon State Police were in the area and attempted to arrest the suspect. A hostile crowd surrounded the law enforcement officers, so they requested help from the nearest crowd control unit. Oregon State Police Mobile Response Team (MRT) responded and secured the area to allow the investigators to safely make the arrest. As soon as the suspect was transported away from the scene, the MRT began to disengage. Objects were thrown at the MRT members, including one glass object that struck a Trooper in the head and shattered. Munitions were deployed to defend the retreating MRT unit. Three Troopers suffered minor injuries during the event.

A suspect, a juvenile male, was detained and a realistic looking replica firearm, metal knuckles, and a knife were seized as evidence (photos). The investigation is continuing.

IIRC meth has a very long half-life. No idea what road of administration Floytanyl used for meth, if it was injected then it would have similar duration to fentanyl I guess. The way he bashed his head on the steering wheel makes me assume he was caught off guard and didn't had time to swallow the bags. My take is he got a ton of adrenaline since he knew he was getting arrested for paying with counterfeit money and how fucked he is, foam at the mouth suggests he snorted too much meth, add the fact he got pinned on the ground and he died from having his blood circulation constricted and popping something inside.

TL;DR: fentanyl certainly didn't kill him.

Meth's got a half life similar to cocaine and heroin (~10 hours). They're undetectable in all but hair tests after 3-4 days.

*Edit* Heroin and Coke's are shorter - 30m to 1.5 hours (longer for urine). The detectable rates are all similar though. 2-4 days (blood is shorter, urine longer).

Meth breaks down to amphetamine and other derivatives of amphetamine in the liver, so de facto stimulation time is longer than ~10 hours. I've seen people stay up for 48 hours and more after a medium meth dose. If Floyd was like my motorhead friends I knew, he'd snort a line every 2-3 hours to keep the high until he passed out or emptied the bag.

Man, meth users reek. Can you imagine those "social workers" trying to calm down some gleaming with sweat ghetto rat motormouthing and twitching all the time who stinks like a truckstop toilet flushed down with medical waste? I pity those cops, they have to touch that dirty fucker to put him in the car and probably won't have time to wash their hands until shift end.
