Honestly wanting to fuck the gay, porn-star, drug-addicted spider from Hazbin Hotel comes off as waaaayyyy less creepy than wanting to fuck the troll centaur who has baby proportions and really puts Manny's hatred of that cartoon in an interesting new light. Tumblr's anti community is notorious for being a haven for pedophiles since their whole shtick is surrounding themselves with dumb teenagers that they feel the need to "protect" from seeing anime titties.

I think if nothing else people thirsting over the Hazbin Hotel spider dude is less wierd because... idk, because that's (to the best of my understanding, I don't know shit about it but based on what I've gathered here) a property with adult characters aimed at an adult audience? I would assume that he's supposed to come off as appealing because that's how non-kids properties work, like in a movie they pick attractive actors because you want people to think they're appealing and some visual and sexual appeal is part of that. You want people to relate to the characters and the desire to be desirable is part of that.
Versus Trolls, which is aimed at small kids, so they are NOT designing the characters to be appealing in that same way. Characters for kids are designed with neoteny in mind, they're meant to look young and more relatable to children-- big eyes, rounded features, more child-like proportions, large head, small body. They're INTENDED to look more like their audience, which is children. They're very specifically NOT designed to be sexy and it's wierd to choose to interpret them that way especially when literally everything else in the world is designed to appeal to sexual adults and this is what they pick.
Even when you take into account stuff like the centaur dude having stubble, it's only to make him look relatively older and more mature compared to the other characters... BECAUSE WITHOUT THAT DISTINCTION THERES NO OTHER WAY TO PEG HIM AS AN ADULT.
Think I said it before, but these are the same people who mock '9000 year old vampire looks 10y/o' while shipping and drawing porn of these toddler-looking fucks. It was wierd enough when they were just shipping them, having seen Manny's weeping dick porn just makes it so much worse.
And I'm sure that Manny would say 'bUT I dRAw HiM aS a BIg hAIrY DuDE' oh, so you're saying that you draw them differently than they actually look for the sake of making it less wierd? Isn't this the same crowd who freaks out at the idea of aging up characters because 'but the character is a kid in canon and that's what you wanted to fuck'?
Idk I think all of this shit is dumb and people are gonna draw what they wanna draw but I also think that Manny's awfully self-righteous when all those tumblr arguments can be very easily applied to her shit.
