This one isn't bad at all, honestly. They didn't racebend all of them, and despite wearing modern clothes they're still pretty recognizable as the Sonic crew. They've got body types that fit the characters, aren't hideous, and don't have pride shit all over them. I'd say it's alright.

I think you mean mastectomy. Mastectomy is cutting off the breasts, vasectomy is cutting the vas deferens inside the testicles.
If anyone's "scared" to draw dark-skinned characters it's because the minute they do, people like this will be knocking down their door because they didn't do something right. The character is too light, they're too pretty, they're too ugly, their nose is too big, their nose is too small, they don't have enough screentime, they don't sound black enough, they sound TOO black, they're too sexual, they're too non-sexual, their palms are pink, their palms AREN'T pink, they're too pale in pastels or too purple in mood lighting, their hair can't be straight but it shouldn't be braids or an afro, they can't have non-natural hair colors, they can't turn into animals, they can't have brute strength if they're black but if they're a dark-skinned asian they can't be smart, you can't have them get hurt or die but you can't make them unimportant to the story, they shouldn't be a side-character or a friend of a white character but if they're the protagonist then the story has to be about their race before anything else!!
So yeah, whine all you want about "why don't you people make black characters," this is why. Because the minute anyone does, it's never ever good enough and we're all horrible evil racists for even TRYING. At that rate, why even try at all.

I never understand why they give dogs mastectomy scars because as far as I know female dogs don't even develop breasts (unless they are pregnant) and I'm pretty sure animal fur would cover scars up anyway.
