Trump Derangement Syndrome - Orange man bad. Read the OP! (ᴛʜɪs ᴛʜʀᴇᴀᴅ ɪs ʟɪᴋᴇ ᴋɪᴡɪ ғᴀʀᴍs ʀᴇᴠɪᴇᴡs ɴᴏᴡ) 🗿🗿🗿🗿

It looks like Kobach may not be winning his primary tonight. Not even the Democrats trying to help Kobach was able to help a lot.

Guy is sliding into irrelevancy after he got outed as wanting a jet on call in order to join Trump's white house.

The TDS is strong with this one. Imagine putting something like that in a family members obituary just to take a stab at the orange man:

The newspaper obituary for David Nagy of Jefferson, Texas, makes it crystal clear who his family blames for his “needless” death from the coronavirus.

President Donald Trump, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) and other politicians who failed to take the pandemic seriously are responsible for the 79-year-old’s July 22 death, the family wrote in the obituary published by the Jefferson Jimplecute in East Texas on Thursday.

Also at fault were the “many ignorant, self-centered and selfish people who refused to follow the advice of the medical professionals, believing their ‘right’ not to wear a mask was more important than killing innocent people,” the obituary said.

Nagy contracted COVID-19 in a convalescent hospital, where he’d been recovering from illness, his wife of 20 years Stacey Nagy told Snopes, the fact-checking website.

He died alone, unable to receive visitors, after suffering “greatly from the ravages of the COVID-19 virus,” the family said in the obituary.

“Dave did everything he was supposed to do, but you did not,” the obituary concluded. “Shame on all of you, and may Karma find you all!”

“I miss my husband dearly,” Stacey Nagy told Snopes. “I’m taking one day at a time to just try to keep going.”

“When I wrote that thing it was because of him,” she said. “I don’t want his death just to disappear. I wrote that and partially, it keeps him alive for me.”

Kobach isn't electable after getting stomped by Laura Kelly in the Kansas governor race a couple years ago. Kansas has a lot of RINOs with lingering Brownback Derangement Syndrome.

In other words, he couldn't have contracted COVID from people who prioritized their right not to suffocate themselves because he was in a hospital, where lockdown orders do anything from preventing people from entering without a mask to preventing outsiders from entering AT ALL, and wasn't able to see his family due to insane reactionary protocols that prevent people who already have COVID from contracting COVID from outside sources. I'm guessing they don't know about nosocomial disease transmission. (In fairness, not enough people do.)

I'm going to assume the family already had their predilections and was just lashing out however they could because yeah, that's tragic, but holy shit is that disrespectful. I bet he really wanted to be remembered as a vehicle for a fleeting political message.

Dying at 79 isn’t tragic. That’s a pretty long life. I even share the family’s sentiments about people not taking the most basic of precautions based on the advice of medical experts, but it’s pretty clear there’s no way he caught the virus because of insufficient precautions. First it’s not even clear if he was diagnosed with Covid-19 and second he was elderly and in the hospital for a prior illness. It really reads and, based on the wife’s statements, just away for people to know her husband died and she wants attention.

WHO?

Literally never heard this name before. Or maybe I did and forgot.
I think I may have heard Kobach's name mentioned once or twice on the internet for whatever reason, but I honestly have no idea who he is or what he really stands for.
He was the 31st Kansas Secretary of State, and is incredibly based. Naturally, his hardline stance on immigration attracted the wrath of the Left.

A good thing I think, Kobach has way too much baggage from his previous runs in Kansas. Marshall voted the same as Trump 98% of the time in his time in the house anyway.

Kobach is one of a handful of grifters on the right that tried proclaiming himself more Trump than Trump. It's part of why he attached himself to that We Build The Wall project a while back, he and others wanted to pretend Trump was doing nothing about creating any kind of wall along the border, so they decided they'd raise money and make one themselves. It was telling at the time that something was fucky since they'd complain Trump was ackshually only building fences, but then they built an inferior version of the same kind of fencing Trump was.

Sometime prior to all that though, Kobach had tried angling for a position in Trump's White House with assistance from these other grifters. The position being Trump's immigration czar, which he apparently would only take if he got a bunch of wild demands met including what amounted to a prior jet. It's hard to say whether he ever thought he'd get the job under those conditions or if he really was so delusional as to think those demands were reasonable. Personally I'm guessing it's the latter and that he figured Trump would lend out Air Force 1 or his own plane for his use.

Given Trump's reaction when the Kobach backed project looked to be falling apart it's probably safe to assume he holds a grudge against the people involved trying to say he wasn't working on one of his prime campaign promises. Making it unlikely he would have gotten any help from him or his associates in this latest primary.

You can see how this was likely an issue for Kobach as he kept doing campaign ads touting his support of Trump and comments from Trump from 2018, the year before everything kinda went to shit between them.

Then you can compare that to the kind of ads Roger Marshall got to air like this gem, which make Kobach's ads look kinda pathetic in comparison:
