Chris-Chan: A Comprehensive History

One thing that didn't come across in the video is how a lot of us thought that Chris had finally figured out how to be successful. He was selling medallions as fast as he could make them (faster in fact) and got up to 250 orders at $60 apiece. If you do the math, that is a fairly good chunk of change for a few cases of model magic. At the same time, he was selling photos for $25 apiece, and doing commissions. At the time, people thought Chris had finally figured out how to turn the trolling back around to make it profitable for himself. Had he not gotten obsessed with the troll Mr Smith, he could have continued making money for some time. One $60 return wouldn't have hurt him. He had orders coming in to replace it every day. The medallion is the perfect product. It's what he's known for. But even when handed success, Chris knows how to magically turn it into fail.
Chris could've been the Gwyneth Paltrow of internet lolcows.

I wasn't aware he had ever claimed that, but yeah it would take some serious evidence to convince me that he wasn't either lying or just being his typical delusional self. The last thing I knew about was right near the time Bob died, when he just straight up called him a fag.

edit: lol just barely ninja'd

Chris claimed it through his drawings. Looking through the CWCki, between July when Bob was aware of Chris Tomgirl transition (and that's when he threw the fag card at him) and his death on September. It was three months and I doubt Bob would ever admit that he accepted Tomgirl Chris. Bob must've resented Chris without coming to terms with that, made even worse of Bob's failing health. And Chris being Chris, he went through his dad's last months going through the usual autistic routes without truly being able to get along with Bob.

I'm surprised Barb was able to hold Tomgirl Chris back until she gave up.

His wife's a hippo, his son's a retarded drag queen, his house is a landfill, his skin is ablaze from bed bugs, and his president's a darkie. Maybe Bob did say he accepted Chris, if only in the hope such dialogue would convince God to conclude his wretched existence.

rewatched the new episode. I noticed in the Catherine recording that Chris calls his mom by name when he introduces Catherine to her. I guess I've kinda assumed that chris started calling his mom Barbra was a recent thing due to him separating himself from reality but I guess this trend started earlier.

Thoughts on the new episode:

Chris getting that cat put down is a nice reminder after so long (between episodes) of why he is extremely unlikable. It is awful that Chris likely acted like a retard, scared the cat causing it to attack him in self-defence, thus resulting in the cat getting put down

Hearing the audio of the Catherine date is a lot more disturbing than the transcript

The music changes perfectly for when it starts talking about Bob

I thought that Chris said that Bob accepted his Tomgirl appearance before he died (Chris could be lying though).

Chris also says he’s a goddess and used to say he has a vagina. Chris says a lot of things.

Let’s try to see it from Bob’s perspective: He’s weak, probably in pain.
His son, who he was hoping might some day have an almost normal life and hold down an honest job, has disappointed him time after time.

And now, to top off the humiliations, Chris is prancing around in women’s clothing and is at least halfway to being a faggot? (At least in Bob’s eyes. Doubt he knew the difference between a homo and a tranny.)

Like hell he accepted it. His thoughts in his last day were probably mostly about music, his young days and his two kids who weren’t total fuckups.

If anything his last words to Chris were probably: ”Do whatever makes you happy son! And for god sakes, drop that faggotry and women’s clothes! You’re bringing shame on your family and mocking everything your mother and I have done for you!”

Chris being Chris chose to focus and remember on the first part.

I can only imagine if there was ever a day before he died, where Bob and Barb were thinking of taking Chris to a psychiatrist or therapist to talk about why Chris is going Tomgirl and if there's anything wrong with him. Unless Bob stayed true to not go due to his past beliefs of institutionalization when Chris was beginning to show his autism.

Even if they had gone to a therapist said therapist would have said Chris's trooning was perfectly natural and the Chandler's were just going to have to accept it as the new normal.

What? jack chick said it in wounded children so it must be true

I like in the date portion Cousin Al is complementing Chris on the month he spent building the Lego High School then he tries to steer the topic to the Sonichu comics saying that Chris could put that same dedication to his comics before Chris cuts him off to talk more about the School. Even though Al was a troll its clear he was trying to encourage Chris to make more comics and possibly make money off them but Chris was more interested to reliving his, supposedly, glorious High School days.

I've been watching some of the old episodes as background noise, and the part where Bob meets the trolls at the mall with Chris, and seems genuinely happy to have someone to talk to who can hold a coherent conversation is really depressing. Like regardless of Bob's quality of parenting, to be trapped in a dump with a tard baby and worthless Snorlax is a true living hell.
Also from that date I can tell you that if Chris WAS in a group home he would be considered a 1-1 in public due to his behavior around women and children. Not even necessarily because he was/is dangerous, but because all his interactions range from weird to inappropriate.

There's an entire dark side to that family that rarely ever gets out into the mainstream Chris lore. You can pick up bits and pieces through the documentation on the CWCki but there's probably even more than hasn't gotten out.
The Chandlers seem to have a bit of trailer trash gothic about them.

Bob was certainly the least bad, and likely had some good in him. However, he's not without his flaws. Other than his coddling Chris, apparently he had no real relations with his previous children, which itself is concerning.

Barbara is pure evil, I am convinced. If Cole Smithy's account is to be believed, she seems like the kind of sociopaths that tends to come up in trailer trash.

Of course, there's Chris. Now, as I've said before, Chris' trolls are bastards. All of them. But that doesn't mean that Chris is an angel himself. It's hard to say if he was always had a sadistic streak or if that came with years of extensive trolling. Whenever you are tempted to feel truly sorry for Chris, he'll do something incredibly stupid or mean that reminds you why he's still subject to continuous trolling.

What's 1-1 mean? Constant supervision from a handler so Chris doesn't fuck up in public?

When group home potatoes go out in the community they have a minimum rating of staff to potato ratio. A 1-1 means you need one staff to one tard when out and about. Even more specifically Chris would probably be a "within arms reach" kind of guy. The way he is now he might even be a 2-1 where you need 2 staff for him because of his level of delusion and gullibility. For in home he probably needs some kind of check in every 15 minutes to make sure he isn't doing something he shouldn't be like telling trolls to come and meet him at his home address.

Just watched this. Is Chris really blaming the neighbour for the egging? I thought I saw a video (might have have been on the CWCki) of some some clown that was not the neighbour egging Chris’s house.

I think that Bob and even Barb had hopes for him while he was in school. They sacrificed for him to see that he had a chance for regular schooling and pushed him to do things (perhaps a little too much). But at some point they realized there was no hope and kind of gave up. I think that point was when they realized that the trolling was a big problem and it wasn't going to stop. Bob kept fighting for a little bit with his lumberjack ways, but I think he got tired and didn't have any way of stopping the barreling locomotive of autism that his son was producing. He pulled back and just let Chris do what he was going to do as long as he stayed in his room. After Bob died, Barb figured if you can't beat em, join em, and cynically encouraged Chris to cash in on his notoriety. Bob and Barb in the Manchester High days seem to have been actually working toward something for Chris. But that fell apart like a house of cards, and they didn't have a plan B so they just gave up.
