Seems to be hitting the same notes as in 2016... replies are the usual Obama brown-nosing you'd expect.
All anybody has to do to shut down this smug hasbeen of a dipshit, who's too lazy to even wear a decent tie with that taxpayer-funded suit, is remind him his shitty presidential library hasn't even seen a shovel in the ground in his beloved "hometown" of Chicago, whereas Bush already had his presidential library built before the end of 2010, and even with Kung Flu. the economy is better now than it was at the end of 2012.

What, did you think they'd just... Let Trump get a message out there? They control the media and they control the social media platforms. By November Trump won't be able to say anything to anyone without them censoring it or adding "fact checks" provided by the DNC right after it.
They'll try. But they can't completely censor the president. The courts have already ruled the president has to be able to get his message out to the public without censorship. If Twitte does anything funny like ban him, they'll see the country in court.

And even if they get Trump banned, he's still doing more press than Biden. Biden does basically nothing. He hides in his basement. His live streams get single digit views. He's only in the news for bullshit polls or gaffs. Meanwhile, Trump is having people go door to door to talk about him. He's got political ads running. The media can't stop talking about Trump. They'd rather die than stop talking about Trump. The latter gives him shitloads of free press. It helped him win 2016.

"Show someone this interview and tell them its a satire, and they'll 100% believe it. I kept questioning it thinking "this can't actually be real, right?? I don't understand how anyone can say they support him."

"I mean what did you expect people? He was a reality tv host! Electing Trump for president is basically electing a Kardashian for president."

"I don't think he's capable of reassuring the nation in a disaster. He can't do the basic job of a president.' He's completely unable to even pretend to relate to populace he's supposed to lead. It's nothing but rudderless, greedy spite with no driving philosophy."

"I felt like punching or bashing my head against something every time Trump rambled on about something stupid in response to the interviewer's questions."

"This would be infinitely more hilarious if this man wasn't the leader of one of the most powerful and influential nations on Earth, whose bumbling has not only damaged his own nation but will no doubt create severe world wide ramifications in the near future. I mean, it's still funny, but in a depressing way."

"What's insane is that he's both his best chance and worst enemy at the same time. Like he self-destructs but his supporters love it because he's yelling about liberals and being racist and shit. If he manages to pull off another win holy shit the USA is done for."

"I think people were hopeful for trump before he got elected, saying "oh he's just playing 5d chess, he acts like an idiot but is actually smart" or that "he may not be that good, but he'll shake things up which will help out" Whereas now (In my opinion) it's obvious to see that trump has performed poorly, and the only people still rooting for him are those who are super attached to him beyond looking at plain facts, or people who think biden would be worse Also, it amazes me how people dedicate themselves to single issues and decide based on that. Like Christians who vote for a man who lies, cheats, is promiscuous, but just because he's against abortion he's somehow a moral man."

"Man, imagine being that much of a beta that you suggest that a Civil Rights icon is "unimpressive" because "He didn't come to my inauguration". His supporters will claim he "DESTROYED and DEMOLISHED this liberal reporter" though."

"It seems like even his supporters can't defend this one, and they aren't even trying. Nearly every thread about the interview on r/conservative got locked and deleted. The one surviving thread is full of people who are pointing out what a joke that interview was."

"To quote an SNL skit about him,"the media constantly tries to make me look bad by reporting things I say and things I do"."

"It's nice to see that after 4 years, reporters are finally asking follow-up questions when Trump has clearly no idea at all what he is talking about instead of just moving on and behaving as if whatever completely nonsensical word salad he has just used was a completely reasonable answer."

Response to all of this? Many are in agreement that Trump messed up on the interview after all.

Of course we know who you're talking about. You haven't shut up about him for over four years now. You can't help but spout your latest version of Orange Man Bad every second of every day. Years from now, long after he's left the White House, you'll still be screeching about him. Even after he finally shuffles off this mortal coil, I have no doubt you'll still be whipping out hot takes about his tiny hands and covfefe.

I can definitely thank Trump for forcing every dumbass leftist to tear their masks off and show exactly who they are and what they stand for: joyless moral scolds who want to tear shit down but never build it back up again.

Big T is all about the spectacle. I predict he will make it appear as if he's in trouble right up to the wire and then crush it from behind at the last minute. Just like he did in 2016.

He sometimes runs his own opposition. Honestly I kind of half suspect that the Access Hollywood tape stunt was his own doing.

I have no idea what interview they're talking about and I largely don't care. Biden's brain is leaking out of his ears and whenever he gets asked even softball questions he fucks up. Trump is going to beat him at the debates and that will be that as far as Biden's farcical "campaign" is concerned.

Like clockwork.

Oh hey, it’s the two news companies who settled over being sued by the Covington kid.
It's a clipped video containing quotes verbatim, so they can't say it's completely fake, but they can fool the general news watchers and unaware folks (redundancy) watching by hammering down on "doctoring" until it means the exact same as "fake." And chances are, it will work.

Here's how it going to go: "Obama dindu," "lol president shouldn't have his conspiracies," and probably an appearance by Brian Stelter for the CNN side of things.

Trump should've hammered in on the Biden gaffes, imo.

Many liberals/leftists are at best preachy, irritating, and smug snobs who shove their political views down your throat and at worst insufferable hypocrites. It's the do as I say and not as I do stuff that gets me going. They say believe all women but they're absolutely silent or are completely disregarding of accusations against Biden or when some people on the left get violent. We're the good guys and it's only bad when the other side does it. If you disagree with us, you're a apologist, bigot, etc.

It goes hand-in-hand with how they frame their takes on issues. Wanting to have a balanced budget by reducing entitlements means that you hate poor people. If you have a moral problem with abortion, you actually hate women and want them to be breeding slaves for life. You're racist if you think BLM is retarded and cops aren't all bad, and you probably want to go lynch a bunch of joggers right now. And let's not forget Antifa, named so that they have an easy way to call out anyone opposed to them. "We're antifascist, so if you don't like us, well, that must mean you're a fascist!"

These fuckos have been enabled for far too long. Even if Trump wins reelection, it's going to take a lot more than four years to root out the leftist disease in society.

If you have a moral problem with abortion, you actually hate women and want them to be breeding slaves for life.

One of the funniest things about this is that a handful of fairly radical feminists have pointed out that abortion on demand actually far more aptly serves the interests of men since it's an easy way for them to opt out of responsibility for their actions (in these feminists' eyes). The man pressures the woman to have an abortion, she does, he's out of her life and gets off scot free for putting her through all that. The rest of the left just kind of... pretends this argument doesn't exist. Like they don't even attack it like they do other pro-life women, they just stare off into the distance and act like they didn't hear anything when it's brought up.

Basically, any argument that comes from inside the house and uses their own logic against their stated positions gets ignored like that. They just blank out and only come to once the statement is passed. The pretense of a unified collective, because their whole worldview is based on consensus, and the idea that it's possible to disagree with them while still being sincerely ideologically in line with them is unthinkable, so they just don't let themselves think about it.

what happened?
Hadn't watched it, but choice bit I heard about was his pointing out that if you test more you'll find more cases, to which the journo corrected him by stating that places like Korea wouldn't have more cases found if you tested more there. Sounded pretty stupid on the journo's part, but I can imagine liberals finding it to be absolute genius because ackshually every country in the world has done better than the US because Drumpf.

Makes it look kinda wild when I compare it to complaints I've seen from Japanese that Japan was handling cornavirus dramatically worse than the US and how fantastic it was that the US handing out tons of cash to citizens to help them get by while giving their own people coupons for fish.

It's almost like there's more to dealing with a pandemic than just trying to limit the number of cases/deaths caused by the virus. In a perfect post-scarcity fully automated luxury gay space communist world, it would be easy enough to just have everyone stay home for a month and let the virus run its course, but that's not the world we live in. It's important to keep the numbers down, but that has to be balanced against a myriad of other factors. I still hate the people bitching about Trump wanting to reopen the economy ASAP so businesses didn't go under and jobs didn't disappear. "WHAT'S THE COST OF A HUMAN LIFE? DO YOU WANT PEOPLE TO DIE? HAVE YOU NO SHAME?!" These fucktards actually think that you can just put the entire economy on hold for an extended period of time and not have any negative repercussions from doing so.

The funniest thing is when you ask these same people what they would have done differently. Their answers are either things Trump already did (restricting travel) or things that make you feel good but don't really have that much of an impact (enforced mask wearing) or are completely infeasible (mandatory testing for everybody in the country every day). All this for a virus that's no more lethal than the flu. Fucking lunacy.

Try getting a straight answer out of them as to the what the end goal of the Covid lockdown is supposed to look like. Back in March it was "stay home and flatten the curve so the hospitals don't get swamped, then herd immunity will kick in/vaccine will take care of those at risk", now its "lol idk, stay home and watch Netflix". But don't open anything up! But how dare you bitch about everything being locked down except for BLM riots!

We are on day 143 of 15 Days to Slow the Spread, for anyone curious.

You know that thing people say about being careful what freedoms you give up to your government, because it's very hard to get them back again? Yeah, there's a reason that people say that, and this is a very good example as to how something relatively innocuous that might seem like the best idea at the time still has the potential to snowball into something significantly worse.

You should never trust anyone who tells you to surrender some of your freedom in exchange for safety.

Franklin's quote still rings true today: "Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety."

As an aside, while looking up the exact text, I found a couple articles saying that the context of this quote means that people are misusing it (this one from TechCrunch claimed people were "butchering" it), but even in context, I disagree. The letter that this quote first appeared in was in response to a dispute between the Penn family and the colonial assembly. The assembly wanted to raise taxes on the colony's lands to fund defense against French and Indian attacks on the frontier, but the Penns lobbied the governor to veto the measure. Franklin argued that the governor wasn't giving any clear reason as to why he didn't want that bill (and many others like it) to pass, making it impossible for the assembly to create anything that might pass, except through sheer luck.

The section that the quote appears in discusses the measures the assembly went through to protect those on the frontiers, but Franklin also says that he thinks they might not want them to go any farther, hence the quote. Still, he notes that those that needed weapons to defend themselves were able to procure them through funds passed by the assembly previously, and thus he urges the governor to reconsider his refusal of the bill in case the need arises for further action.

As I said, even with this context, I hardly think anyone is "butchering" this quote. While most of the letter deals with this specific financial/legislative dispute, the section that the quote arises from is directly related to those who choose to live on the frontier of the colony, and Franklin notes that it's practically impossible to effectively defend small families living miles apart from each other. But consider the beginning of the Declaration of Independence, where it's written that government is supposed to guard people's inalienable rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. In this regard, Franklin is urging the governor to do his part to ensure the safety of those on the frontier and guard their lives from hostile attacks, up to the extent that they're comfortable with the government's actions. He's not demanding that the governor build a watchtower on every colonist's property and staff it with a lookout 24/7, which I'm sure he would see as an assault on personal liberty, despite potentially making those frontier lands safer. He and the other Founding Fathers believed in limited government that protected rights without clamping down unnecessarily on the populace. If Franklin lived in modern times, I guarantee he would abhor the Patriot Act for the same reason.

That's the important distinction that these lefties who are claiming "nuh uh that's not what he said" are leaving out. Even if the concept of liberty doesn't come up much in the exact letter that this quote came from, one only need look at the rest of Franklin's work to know how he felt about it. I think it's perfectly fair to take this line out of context, because it really doesn't need any. It holds true on its own.

Okay, sorry for the off-topic rambling, but I felt the need to share what I learned. You may now resume your scheduled TDS mockery.

Apparently you missed the memo. A few months ago with the whole Tara Reade thing going on, they
declared that Believe All Women was right wing gaslighting. They never said it.
