Dream Team is waaaaaaay too long. By the end of it I was ready to pull my hair out. Was just a huge slog. It gets mentioned a lot, but yes, there are way too many tutorials.

Paper Jam gets a bit of a bad rap for not introducing much new to the series, but I really like it and thought it was much better than Dream Team.

Am I the only one who liked "Partners in Time"?
Ever since Mario RPGs lost their creative spark, people retroactively started to like Partners in Time more. Or at least somewhat.
There isn't even something really wrong with it, its just awkwardly sandwhiched between to really great games that excel it in story and gameplay.

The only thing that's wrong with Partners in Time was how broken the special attacks were. Other than that it's an bit of a grind with the puzzles.

In fact, it was the last M&L game that actually had puzzles on the overworld.

Decided to start playing through TTYD since I haven't played it in forever, and I just learned about the super guard.

holy shit the game feels so much better.

Try playing the hard mode mod that makes super guarding nearly a requirement to survive past the midway point (and Amazee Dazee is so strong it straight-up OHKO's the party if you fail the guard).

...Which I'll admit I ain't touching because my reflexes are shit. Instead I'll watch Stryder7x do it, and then watch him crash Paper Mario in five trillion different ways because I'm autistic.

Quick question...
I keep seeing this ad pop-up for Origami King in my YouTube feed, is this scene part of the game? It looks extremely glitched and wrong, but it pops up everywhere. Why are the toads’ faces like this? Why?

It's during the third streamer in the game, shortly before you fight Hole Punch, one of the bosses. For some reason the game always makes a habit of sticking impromptu dance numbers that just feel out of place. All the Toads you find got their faces punched out, and the boss demands that you bring him a music record to dance to.

That makes sense. It does not make for a good thumbnail though, as it just looks cursed and glitched out. If I did not know better, I would think the game is completely unpolished.

speaking of ad. Orgami king marketing train have gone full speed ex: everytime my sis watch a youtube video an ad of the game pop up

Paper Mario and the Origami King was an excellent game, and I'm getting more and more suspicious this was completely by accident.
A broken clock can be right twice a day. So it's only makes sense that when you throw paper mario at every paper gimmick in the book, one is bound to come out decent.
