Manosphere Jordan Peterson - Internet Daddy Simulator, Post-modern Anti-postmodernist, Canadian Psychology Professor, Depressed, Got Hooked on Benzos

Lobsterman is his own "Agent of Chaos". He is responsible for his own downfall. He told others how to suceed in life but he himself does dumb shit. He thinks he is so smart but all he does is destroying himself.

Yeah, I don't think that Peterson's fate necessarily invalidates his teachings or ideas. I think himself just didn't follow them.

He has good ideas, but in his personal life he's always a bit squirelly. I remember him on Rogan saying his batshit daughter talked him out of eating anything but meat and how it completely changed his health and cured him of all sorts of ailments with zero side effects. He's the kind of guy who is highly educated and practical but thinks his chiropracter can cure a cold.

The sad thing is 12 Rules and his arguments against cancel culture and cultural marxism could help people, but he'll be discredited. I bet he never goes on Rogan again.

The huge blind spot in 12 rules for life and peterson's advice in general is that there isn't any info on knowing your limit. The idea is to make yourself more than you are right now, and when the limits to that get brought up it is generally for him to say that you can handle much more than you think you can. He seems to think people can do meaningful things all the time, or more often than not. I don't think most people can handle it. His advice is very good for a lot of people, especially those who tend towards self pity or sloth, but its a nightmare for those who are already self sacrificing.

I really think the best part of his work is explaining the point of the bible from a secular perspective.

I think that I would have much more respect for him after this debacle if he did own it instead of looking for excuses. Let's say, as others think in this thread: it was an honest mistake: he underestimated benzos, or overestimated strength of his will. It can happen to anyone.

But instead of saying I made a huge mistake, no, he is looking for excuses everywhere. From the story he said in the interview with Mikhaila you would think all of this just happened to him, because he ate wrong food, had insomnia, and then got bad news. Not to mention that it is just dependence, not addiction, no no no.

I don't know how much experience you have with addiction, but let me tell you that: I know mechanism of benzos physiological addiction, and as many said in this thread repeatedly: while benzos have potential to be very addictive, something I insist JBP had to know beforehand, not everyone gets addicted to them, some people can use them safely and then taper down slowly without dramatic consequences.

This is also true about heroin or opiates in general. They are addictive but not all people get addicted after taking them for a while. So what is the difference between people who get addicted and people who do not? Well, there are individual differences in propensity to being addicted to anything. Yes, probably genetics is a factor too, and biochemical makeup of an individual brain. However, we can not and should not eliminate from the equation more elusive and not really scientifically measurable qualities like strength of will, self-discipline and mental fortitude.

BTW I wish I got exact timeline. Fateful dinner including some Apple Cider Vinegar of Doom was probably around Christmas time but what year? 2018 I guess. Then three weeks of insomnia, OK and small prescription of klonopin to make him sleep. For how long did he take this small dose till he got bad news about his wife illness? Couple of months? He shouldn't really take it more than a few weeks, right?

His story sounds plausible until you realize that it all sounds precisely as if there was no personal decision involved. It all just happened without any deliberation on his part, doctors made decisions for him and food didn't agree... In short, it's a classic junkie speak. I just had to drink, shoot heroin, take benzos etc. There was no other way. I wish there was, but no, there was no other way. It just happened to me. Meanwhile, thousands of regular people fight powerful life challenges without benzos, and deal with insomnia in hundreds of different ways, because there are myriads of ways to deal with insomnia, or life challenges, and benzos are possibly the worst.

I’m almost convinced BPD daughter and Igor are holding Petersen hostage at this point. Using benzos and various health crisis to keep him under control.

I didn’t realize this crazy daughter was hanging on to her “Russian black belt” husband by giving him a job as Petersen’s “business consultant”. They broke up after a year, then he was just an employee of Petersen Inc. So she used Daddy’s celebrity and money as a way to keep Igor in orbit for the next two years. I bet he totally didn’t resent that and think about how he could turn the tables in this situation.

I could almost see Petersen going to Russia because BP daughter was determined to go with her man and Jordon was concerned. Igor wanted them cut off from home base and in a part of the world he had more control Once he was out of familiar territory and in a foreign country with only Mikhala and Igor, and only Demon Igor speaking the language, things got rather sordid.

Does make their bizarre journey to Russia and Serbia all the more sinister in this light. Plenty of people trying to be political or right wing celebrities try to make some money in Russia. They like supporting certain shit stirrers in the west (on both sides) depending on the agenda. Makes me think Demon Igor was trying to drum up some new revenue streams because he wasn’t savvy enough to manage to do it Canada he tried to take the traveling side show there.

I’m sorta shocked that Jordan’s wife and son have remained so quiet. They have to be appalled and horrified by this shitshow Mikhala is propagating with zombie Dad being poked with a stick to speak occasionally.

These two are definitely in some weird mutual Munchausen situation. When she was younger she had a terrible illness and was bedridden for years until she found the magic cure by eating steaks. Then he gets a terminal drug addiction but its not like a normal drug addiction because he's not an addict but the cure is a magical mystery tour around eastern Europe where actually the doctors are fucking up at every turn but still she saved his life by taking him there. Seems the only one not on their bizarre roundabout is the wife, presumably because cancer might not respond as well to whatever hocus pocus bullshit they dream up.

That scene is applicable to so, so many situations these days.

Remember when the nu-conservative movement tried to push the agenda that "conservatism is the new counter-culture" and tried to parade themselves as these roguish outsiders despite the fact that they were backed by industry to indoctrinate another generation of kids to convert them into neocons? Does it really count as individualism when you and all your peers are unknowingly spouting the same Koch talking points?

Nothing says fighting back against the system like being deeply entangled in the system and profiting from it.

I remember listening to the FriendlyJordies podcast (aussie political "commentator") and he was mentioning how marketing companies have realised that one of the best ways now to engage consumers is to appeal to a sense of justice/activism. For example, Absolut vodka has branded itself effectively so that people now associate it with the LGBT movement and I suppose you would subconsciously associate purchasing that with supporting the movement. There have been heavy-handed attempts that failed miserably (See: Kendall Jenner Pepsi ad), but ever since I heard that, it has become more apparent how companies try to create the illusion of social progress in order to market more effectively to people.

It's taught in business schools from a different perspective. "Corporate Social Responsibility". BHP Billiton caused one of the worst environmental disasters in the history of Brazil but since they have such a strong presence in media here in Australia advertising their diverse hiring strategy and outreach programs for disenfranchised communities, their industrial-scale murder is ignored.

I got really off-topic. TL;DR Public Relations is really shit, watch The Century of the Self.

As it has been said before, there might be some elder abuse. Crazy daughter and demon Igor are way too fucking sketchy, and his job as a "consultant"? That's like basically codeword for grifting. However, he is 58 years old and one or two years ago he was teaching self-help in public. He has no excuse to ehem... keep his house in order. If he made the decision to have his daughter as a "manager" then we cannot chalk it to ignorance or elder dementia, but Peterson's own personal fault.

Totally agree, but people do some really stupid shit to enable shitty failure prone offspring. Cancer mom poses for her weight loss BS. Dad let her and demon boy be his managers, which is a magnitude of stupidity I find hard to fathom.

Bi-polar Mikala insists she must go off to Eastern Europe with Igor and their toddler. Jordan was either convinced to go along (Benzo cure!) or terrified of what would happen to his daughter and granddaughter if he didn’t join the circus train to Russia.

It's not hard to control a severe addict of any age however. if you can supply them, just dry up their drugs, they go into withdrawal, they come to you, they just need a little bit to stop their head from exploding and help them sleep, you make them feel bad, they don't stop, Make them promise they'll do this or that for you, seek help in russia, you give them the drugs.

All of a sudden you're supplying them with drugs, while they're simultaneously indebted to you while thinking you're the one trying to help them.

Why are you calling him that?
Read Mikhala’s post, he told her a demon named Igor lived in his body.

Also, I don’t care enough to remember the Russian grifters name but find it hilarious he’s telling dumb chicks a demon named Igor lives inside him. (He’s also made sure getting shot at, a black belt and swords are part of his mysterious man of danger schtick he uses to pick up chicks)

Jordon failed in the raising a sane daughter dept. She fell for and got knocked up by a foreign grim dark “black belt” that tells girls he’s got a demon living in him that Jordon has to employ (along with his daughter).

Her Russian husband sounds like a thousand other shady grifters looking for rich girlfriends to leech off of. I bet he bangs lots of other women behind her back and spends her dad’s money on them too boot.

Disturbing when you consider girls are supposed to marry men like their father. I wonder if Jordan has a pet demon in him named Ivan that loves drugs?
