I never read anything more into his hatred of da homos than he was just someone raised in a part of America famous (to this day) for it's intolerance of gay people because of it's age-old bigotry and backwards bible literalism.

That's not fair, honestly: being raised in a place does not make you a product of its social views anymore that being raised in a gay-friendly culture makes you actually gay. My dad was born and raised in the deep south in the 60s by a racist mother who hated the American north, with brothers that remain homophobic, and yet while he still calls his birth state of Mississippi "home" (though we don't live there now and haven't for about 20 years) he voted for Obama in the previous elections, supports the liberal side of pretty much every social issue, and accepted my being bisexual without a second glance. I don't think being raised in a culture has as much bearing on a person's views quite as much as just personal values, though of course family does play a huge role in it. But I highly, highly doubt that Chris cared enough about what Virginian culture was telling him to make that the reason why he hated gays.

If Chris is taking unprescribed hormones he might kill himself as his super weakened body might fill itself with blood clots., which is just ONE of the many undeserved effects caused by unprescribed, unsupervised hormones.

I've learned to live with the fact that we're basically waiting to see how Chris ends up killing himself. It's not something we want to see, but there isn't much we can do to stop it.

That's the really sad part of this story, it's not going to end well no matter how much we hope it will.
Be it a day, week, month year or decade we are one day going to see a post or news story along the lines of "Virginia man dies in Hord Avalanche... details of accident ...Mr Chandler is survived by his Amiibo collection and friends have asked for Lego in lieu of flowers to be sent to..."

Dunno if its been mentioned but isn't chris on antipsychotics? Because they can cause these kind of effects, especially as he ages - lets face it chris has never had the highest testosterone levels

He was on Paxil, I am not sure but I think it was for depression I think but he insinuated it was causing problems and I am not sure if he is even taking it any more maybe @Marvin can shed some light on that.

I think this music is my perfect reaction to this devilish picture.

I was thinking about this too. Paxil is a SSRI and long term use can cause liver damage. If he is still taking it, combined with HRT, it could make the potential for liver damage worse. Some doctors that prescribe Paxil to patients do regular blood tests to ensure liver levels stay within the norm. His doctor probably monitors his cholesterol--which is usually done in that same blood test--so there's a good chance any damage could be caught early.

Brother, thankfully Chris is too much of a pussy to do that.

We need to keep reminding ourselves that this is a guy who tried to reopen a taint piercing with a fucking safety pin.

Can you really blame someone who is mentally challenged for not being able to rise above the prejudices they were raised into? Your last sentence makes it seem like Chris personally and consciously chose to hate the gays rather than the far more obvious fact that he was surrounded by his parents badmouthing da homos all his life. It wasn't "Virginian culture" that told him to have these views so much as two "old fashioned" parents.

I am surprised how nonchalant people are about Chris taking black market hormones. This board went bonkers when he got the unclit. Yet now he does something medically even more sketchy and few seem to care?

There's a good chance the dude is injecting horse piss. I hope someone gets him to stop this shit.

It is absolutely not medically "more sketchy" than the taint piercing. The odds that an injested or topical hormone/fake hormone treatment will have a major immediate or even long term impact on his health are extremely low; shockingly, people tend not to sell arsenic cream to their customers nowadays. On the other hand I've seen a disturbingly wide variety of truly horrifying, life threatening infections in patients. The worst case scenario medically is that he has access to actual hormonal treatment, and while I've seen a couple cases of deep vein thrombosis that became really dangerous the risk isn't really that high for his age bracket unless there is a family history of DVTs.

Edit: oh also the risks do depend on what medication he's currently taking, maybe somebody else knows the answer to that.

Culture and upbringing shapes personal values. Why are people in the south generally more homophobic? Is it just a coincidence or genetic that people from the south happen to have those personal values?

Of course it is not everyone. There are lots of people like your father who question that status quo and develop their own morals. I guess that is the main difference. If you grow up in a homophobic environment and don't question a lot, you become homophobic. If you grow up in a tolerant environment and don't question it a lot, you become tolerant. A large proportion of people don't question it, and thus conform to what they grew up in.

As for Chris, it was probably mostly his parents and not Virginia that influenced him. But Virginia influenced his parents. And there was also probably not many LGBT tolerance events or things like that at his high school that might have challenged him. I suppose it is fair to chastise him for not rethinking the beliefs he was fed. But he is an idiot. When he thinks for himself it is not usually a good thing.

@asperhesI never read anything more into his hatred of da homos than he was just someone raised in a part of America famous (to this day) for it's intolerance of gay people because of it's age-old bigotry and backwards bible literalism. Not to mention the fact that he was 'raised' by a pair of elderly republicans with antiquated views to match, which they will have passed on to Chris.
Chris's anti-gay stuff was about as convincing as Jim McGreevey pretending not to be gay. It was just an act put on for the conservative community.
