I’m staying in California (many feels @MrJokerRager) for now, as it seems the madness hasn’t hit here yet; I guess coastal elite types think this is a stronghold. But I’ve for sure thought of getting out. There are a few great all-in books about homesteading (The Encyclopedia of Country Living starts off telling you how to purchase arable property; The Knowledge teaches how to rebuild society after a mass dieoff).
For now, the wages commensurate with the cost of living means that even if I can only sock away a fraction of my wages, that‘s more actual dollars than in a lower income area; my hope is to be able to move somewhere quietly and get my license plates changed quickly so nobody knows that I ever temporarily lived in this leftist hellhole.
I’m not sure how much income I need in retirement, but I’m assuming I can get by somewhere in the country for $5k/month, which is a reasonably attainable passive income goal (diversified among bond-bearing dividend ETFs, which are post-COVID at prices which pay out 12%pa, ridiculously good but tax inefficient). I just have to learn all those other good skills and try to find something rural enough to homestead and urban enough to have high-speed internet.

The middle class emulates the upper class, and there's no shortage of luxury brands that will sell them shit after their 15 minutes of upper class fame fades. Handbags, "designer" clothes, weird dog breeds, hot vacation spots, Maseratis, cocaine. But rich people will still buy brand name stuff if the brand hasn't deigned to sell to the middle class. Stuff that might not be crafted very well or useful in an objective sense--Ferraris are continually falling apart because they're "racecars," a Philippe Patek is no more useful than a Casio LCD wtach--but has an air of exclusivity and excitement about it.
I dunno. I think Antifa and BLM will have alienated enough of the masses in the event of a Trump win and they'll have to shift the narrative somehow.
They may not blame Antifa and BLM specifically but I doubt they'll keep pressing the "muh Nazi" angle if Trump wins. If the George Floyd riots hadn't happened, you'd probably be right but BLM more or less ruined that narrative.
I've said this before, but I think a lot of the bigwigs honestly think 2016 was a fluke and that's why they tripled down on the woke left progressive bullshit. Hillary's popular vote win coupled with the unexpected success of Bernie Sanders in the 2016 primaries probably reinforced this notion.
If Trump wins 2020, the bigwigs will know it's not a fluke and will view it as a repudiation of the Woke Left and BLM.
Even if they don't explicitly blame the Woke Left in this scenario, I doubt that they will continue pushing the narrative about white supremacists. Also, a second term of Trump will mean more sanctions on China and an intensifying trade war, which will cut off a lot of the main revenue for the media corporations like Disney or the big tech firms like Google. They will have to adjust the narrative just to keep the money coming in.
The economic meltdown from COVID-19 is so severe that even Disney is hurting financially and they were the invincible powerhouse of Hollywood in the 2010's. Losing the Chinese market will force them to make tough decisions, and the same will go for Google, Facebook, Twitter, AT&T, etc.
I'm a practicing Catholic, and even though I'm an apartment dweller/desk jockey in the 'burbs, I'm active and can shoot a gun, plant stuff, fish, and do manual labor if need be.
Improvise/adapt/overcome is IMHO not as hard as everyone makes it sound.
If you wanna take it further forming small enclaves around your area would be next step. Kinda like vault tech. You prep up and wait for the storm blow over.
If you really want to do something offensive boot up your minecraft civil war 2.0 simulator and start funding your activies with white collar crime. Embezzlement. Fraud. Ponzi schemes. Use what gains you get to buy up politicians, donate to ex police and military veteran charities. Use said money to help out directly police and military people in need. This would allow you to build up an army. Also can use the money to go off grid like really into the woods if you want to.
Also if you rope as many people in these schemes as possible what going happen is it will create a financial death spiral. So even if you get caught it you'll win. That what bernie madoff did and boy did it cause a ruckus.
Do I reccomend going that far? Fuck no. But hey many people here asked what can they do. That's the best option I can think of.
In short I believe that this far left crap (among other things) is a symptom of a dying society.
I also assume if you are of the wrong skin tone or anti left you are already half way becoming a de facto criminal. If Biden wins you might as well be one.
Dont do shit you ain't willing to suffer the consequences for but if you wanna go on the offensive the plan of massive white collar crime to fund your prepping plans and buy up muscle and influence then that is an option. Doing such an option would speed up the collapse of society. The sooner society collapses the better your chances will be fighting against this woke crap will be. Also it's easier to rebuild society to your liking then it is to fix an established one that dead set on getting rid of you.
