In my opinion I think clinical gender dysphoria is rare and a lot of the gender-bending circus is a symptom of an evolving culture. English speaking countries with developed economies have the highest populations of troons and others who engage in genderbending theater on social media; places that put a high value on individual persons being able to radically self-determine themselves as a means of both freedom and therapy. I think it stems from a crisis in authenticity brought about by advancements in technology and so drastic steps are taken to demonstrate that authenticity to others and the bar of shame gets lowered. Now it is common in some spaces like Tumblr to categorically list off just about any facet of your life no matter how inappropriate or trivial they are, as if people were trying to weave together a person from variables drawn from their day to day life.

I’m beginning to think this is why Breadtubers put so much stock into things that they either consume or what turns them on. Authenticity is granted by having the right kind of matrix of consumption and desires, the more deviant the display the more authenticity gained. The political positions are peripheral and not grounded in much else than social media posts.

What @Pump Meat said, but also because it's a an easy way for a cishet white male to work their way up the oppression totem pole. It's got more clout than being gay, and also claiming to be trans or non-binary doesn't require a lot of work or having to fuck the same gender

I think a man being an idpol leftist is an unsustainable state. Sooner or later, that superposition has to collapse. So either they go the Right, they go towards class-essentialist leftism, or they stop being a man. And when there are social and financial incentives for them to not leave the community, transitioning becomes the path of least resistance.

These guys want to believe that they don't match what the Left thinks men are. Rather than questioning that definition of manhood, they question their manhood itself. Then they transition, and finally they can have a break from being treated as the root of all evil.

So again, the question is, why WOULDN'T a Breadtube male transition?

As somebody for universal healthcare, I find it amazing how quick people are to assume that the only reason one would be against it is because they're just some immoral person. Echo-chambers on reddit are quite handy for people who want to justify that belief.

main reason i personally dislike it is because it allows good-for-nothing freeloaders to leech off the system, plus it forces people to subsidize a bunch of really questionable shit - homeopathy, tranny surgery, overprescribed and unnecessary medicines and treatments, munchies, etc.
in a world where everybody just pays for his own stuff, none of those things would be a serious problem because the patients themselves would pay with their own money, but in a system that forces the taxpayer to pay the bills for everything, all that shit becomes like a parasitic cancer dragging society down.
