Its not LEOs who over see community service punishments,
CSOs are either limited peace officers (Not having the full power of a fully sowrn officer) , or non-sworn officers (as is the case here), it is basically what "Abolish the police, use social workers" people want, in many ways (other then not being trained in social work fields).

Why do you think anarcho-tyranny is enacted in their favor? They're the paramilitary arm of those people. It bears all the hallmarks of a color revolution. Some of Antifa might even think they're communists, but that's not the goals they're pursuing.

In a way yes, CSO often do not hold the power to arrest, and do not carry firearms (although some department authorize OC spray or other self defense weapons), ironically one of the reasaons CSO became a thing was because of budget cuts, and departments not having enough fully sworn officers to respond to calls and/or patrol their jurisdiction.So now they're abolishing the glorified social workers they claim are an adequate substitute for cops?

This case is local to me - typing from my phone so I’ll make it short but essentially, yes, and the narrative is that he did so due to some sort of dispute with the mother - there’s actually a Facebook thread essentially trying to say free this nigger because he was on drugs and was aiming for the boys uncle or some shit, not the child, and repeatedly saying “y’all dnt kno Da real story”
When I get home I’ll find that thread; the nigger was on the run from police and a mix of angry ass people and was caught because the vehicle he was driving was missing the entire fucking front bumper.

Thing is that this is getting serious and even the corporations are finally starting to take note. Even the MSM might change their tune as this keeps getting harsher to the point that Bloomberg, NYT, and the Chicago Sun Times are calling out Antifa and Teespring is removing all Antifa merch from their store.
There's also last night's attack on the White House that resulted in a Secret Service agent getting shot and we're still figuring out what's going on with that. If Antifa or BLM is behind it, then all bets are off.
Attacking federal courthouses in Portland (an Antifa-controlled city) is one thing, but the White House is a whole new level of major league.
