The issue is that the party leadership ARE this stupid and arrogant. They are so used to arm waving concerns away, with the media covering for them, that they think they can get away with shit like this. Look at how they attempted to steel Bernie's base after he dropped out. Just stole half his platform and blatantly don't plan to actually follow through on any of it and everyone knows. They don't give a shit what people think, and they're convinced that their PR and Media wings can make voters see 'The Right' way or at the very least make them see the 'Donald Trump Is A Fucking Racist Failure, So I'll Vote Blue' way. Kamala is one of their young up and comers, is in as deep as any of them with having zero fuckinng morals or convictions, and by god they'll make people love her. I don't know if you know Joe, but he shouldn't be running for any more office positions. He's an actual decent human, with all the shortcomings that come from being from Scranton, and living in Delaware for more than half his life, but he's got that Scranton foot in mouth disease.
