Lowtax already remained uncancelled after multiple prior incidents. He'd been given way more rope than goons would ever give anyone else, and if Goons weren't such deeply damaged and self absorbed hypocrites they'd have cancelled him over Ashli in January or over his fence-sitting on FYAD in December. He was still making close to 10k when he tried to get her gofundme for his ex and their daughter shut down, and the castrati that relied on his website for validation were helping him do it, too.

Another thing to throw in the face of any simp dumb enough to defend LowT at this point. Note, nothing Chris Hardwick was even accused of rose to the level of illegal or even being "abuse." He was accused of being kind of a huge jerk but guess what, not every unsatisfying relationship is "abuse."

To answer your question, it's because a lot of SA mods are or were historically simps for FYAD and craved validation from them. INRI phrased it as "it's because we have mod friends" or such, but that's what it actually was.

FYAD got stupid as soon as it got insular a long time ago. It was relevant when there were only four forums and you had to take your flame wars with Jeddite or whoever there. But as soon as it stopped being the flame war forum and got its own identity, it got really stupid.
