A couple days later I took the 1 of 2 items I did receive to the physical store to return it, as it wasn't useful to me without the other item, and was told I would be refunded. It's over a week later and I haven't got a refund for either item.

I ordered another item from another major company, this time for store pick-up. The policy stated that if you did not pick it up within 5 days, it would be automatically cancelled and refunded. I realized I didn't need it so I never went to get it and let it lapse. That was in fucking June. A couple weeks later I realized I still hadn't been refunded, so I checked the order status and it showed as 'picked up'. I never went there, so I called the store, and they told me they still had it set aside for me, but they'd just refund it right then. No problem. A couple weeks later, still no refund, so I called the main customer service line. They told me the item was marked as 'picked up and signature received', despite me having never shown up to the store. They got in touch with the store to issue the refund, and I figured it was all sorted. That was July 27th and I still haven't received my refund.

I'm a pretty patient person, I've been the girl on the other end of the phone living that call center life, so I don't act like a Karen, but I'm sick and tired of companies dicking around worse than usual and blaming it on COVID. I bought a shitty can opener from my local supermarket that didn't work and they refunded me right away, despite their store policy being that they can't take returns right now. That was a small regional store, too, and these other ones I mentioned are big-time companies. I'm pissed!

This, but local government services. My county auditor's office was closed from March to June, and is now by appointment only. All vehicle registrations, titles, marriages, and property paperwork are now going through two small city chamber of commerce offices, where people are turned away at the end of the day because the breadlines are too long. Motherfucker, what am I paying you taxes for?

This mask shit and how easily everyone goes along with it. Mostly because it gives the government one more thing to boss people around about, and I know they have zero plans at stopping just at masks. Nothing is ever enough for these assholes. Are people that fearful of death or inclined to obedience? Either way it's pissing me off.

I'm just buying ones that go with my workout clothes, I don't think they'll do much but I can at least look cool instead of the standard facediaper.

ASMR in general pisses me off, it's quite literally the easiest "This isn't a fetish video! We swear!" excuse anyone can use and it's fucking retarded.

I do it because I've got a compromised immune system, as I can have trouble breathing sometimes and don't want to risk it, so i at least have an excuse for it. But the way I see it, unless the cases are rising again, why bother with the mask unless you've already got a history with health issues or are really old?

my issue is that I’m perfectly healthy, I exercise six days a week and have spent zero time in a hospital in my life. And yet the idiots of my city council and the twitter drones are insistent on continuing with this one size fits all horseshit. Me and others of my health wearing masks would put a strain on the overall supply for those who actually need them.

I mean I get it, in a way, that they want to make sure it's curbed until the vaccine is done, but it comes off as pointless unless you have an actual reason to wear it. And besides, it's not like those who are tested positive for Covid can even leave the house in the first place.

Asymptomatic carriers exist. Also people spread the most something like 48 hours before symptoms. Masks aren't mostly for the benefit of the people wearing them.

On a slightly related note, forgetting to charge my phone and the battery running flat overnight so my alarm doesn't go off. I need an alarm to wake up, otherwise I can sleep for like 16 hours because it's not like I've got anything better to do during this lockdown.
