Yeah I guess when looking back to my education I pretty much only heard about the bad things that the U.S. did. Other countries had their 'bad' parts of history sort of glossed over. Still absolutely crazy that somebody could be so stupid to legitimately arrive at the conclusion that the world was perfect before the U.S.

You literally deny the fundamental nature of Humanity with your ideals: progress & adaptation - what you'd do is hit the reset button to end the status quo and live selfishly in some shitty, disconnected society where any fucked up freak can acquire enough collective power to overrule everyone within that society and therefore lead us right back to where we are now, just without fucking technology; in order for your ideals to work in perpetuity, Humanity must essentially be kept backwards forcibly and if you want that to happen, you better just fucking kill everyone, my guy; we had the pillars of basic society established, written down and formatted around a century and a half ago and they were all lost to the wayside with the industrial revolution and postcolonialism, but that doesn't mean that we just go back to being the fucking village people.
