When you sell poorly laminated, un-cut, something-a-4th-grader-would-make garbage for $12-15 a pop (NOT including shipping), of course nobody is going to bloody buy it. She'd probably be better off trying to sell her artwork, although we know that's also completely fruitless as well. Maybe if she'd spend more time on learning to improve and taking criticism to heart she'd get a client or two once in a while. I believe that those cat keychains are knitted not crochet, but you're right about how much work needs to go into them. I can tell you from experience, and I think with knitting it's the same, that when you work on very small pieces like that you need a very steady hand and a lot of patience. I know that when making toys the stitches need to be tight and when it's small like that it takes time. Also embroidering those little faces and the little collars, they really are nice and worth what they're asking for.
