I don't know what you're talking about, the conservatives I've been watching have been all over Home schooling these past few months. I suspect they're a little worried the left is going to use this as an excuse to try and regulate it. This is, of course, since the left has suddenly been screaming to regulate it lest American kids suddenly find themselves not properly conditioned to believe in leftist bullshit.

I've seen a major push for school reopening in conservative media and by conservative politicians, which is what I was referring to. Like you said, there was lots of talk about homeschooling months ago but that's faded into the background.

That's a combination of politics -- the normies are realizing that they're gonna have to actually find babysitters for the little shits if they don't go back to school -- and a desire to break this stupid lockdown kabuki theater the left has demanded we all play into.

this. home-schooling sounds all nice and dandy until you think about who's gonna do the actual "schooling".

Realistically, not every parent has the luxury of homeschooling their child. I imagine the parents who can, will. Public school is supposed to exist for everyone else. It's probably still much better than nothing.

I agree for the most part. I just don't see why these people should teach kids anything but the essentials of education. Life lessons (like sex ed and bullying and all that shit) really should be something parents should teach to their kids rather than a bunch of dead-eggers or otherwise childless women.

Marching band practice

Great, as if it wasn't hard enough to breath in those muzzles, now these kids gotta wear them while blowing into a flute?

If they're willing to go through these asinine lengths, that means they'd be all too willing to shut things down in a snap.

What's next, are they going to force their athletic students to wear a muzzle at all times?

Parents don't have time to teach kids that anymore thanks to the fact that single-parent households are common and promoted and more than ever both parents have to work in two-parent households so won't have time to teach their kids.

They are. I have heard of counties where the schools are open, but if even a single person has a positive test for coronavirus, the entire school is closed down for 2 weeks.

Fan-fucking-tastic, it's going to be so easy for the "experts" to come up with excuses to keep ruining our lives.

Should the economy collapse and the lockdowns still occur, I don't think tarring and feathering them would be enough.

Someone at work tested positive at my work and nobody cares. What's up with that?

A conversation between me and a nurse. What's messed up is that healthcare workers cling to this Virus like an abused wife to a violent husband.

It's insidious. You're made to look like a villain simply because you try to weigh the hype against the reality.

There was a vet technician who was giving my mother antibiotics for her dog. She told my mother to wait outside in the rain, despite the fact that the place was empty. When she got back to my mother with the medication, my mother said, "There's a greater chance of me or you getting pneumonia from standing out in the rain, you know." The vet technician said, "Oh, you're one of those people." Verbatim, mind you. The vet technician continued, "My friend died from it!"

I'm sure that's what was written on her death certificate, if there was such a friend.
