This was one of my favorite parts of his 'DEBUNKING 7 YEARS of SLANDER' video where he tries to revisionist history that whole affair.
He said "In REALITY she GAVE ME PERMISSION to tell that story! But AGAIN, people just want to believe the LIES & SLANDER without getting the real story from me!"
Then the only """Permission""" he references is a heavily doped up Leanna, in between arriving home from the hospital and immediately passing out, saying "Huh, you're probably going to go tell your whole stream about this now, huhn?"

He follows up this gem of social retardation by trying to DEBUNK his "If this EVER happens again YOU DO NOT have permission to take her to the hospital! Just give her a pill and leave her there!" by saying "We weren't even together at the time! HOW WOULD I HAVE ENFORCED THAT?!?"

Real smooth Phil, you totally weren't together at the time and had been broken up for months. . .except you asked her to marry you and she said 'Yes' on April 9th, long AFTER you claim to have broken up, and on multiple occasions during the 'Leanna's Medical Emergency' story you were very concerned about how various things might affect "the rest of your lives together", so either you were still engaged or had very recently broken up an you were still living in a delusional "She'll come back, mommy can't leave me" fantasy.

Also in this video he lies about having had the engagement ring for years when they had just recently gotten whatever Leanna picked out off Etsy after Phil's February 26th 'Fake Engagement Ring' stream meltdown.
He goes on a long rant about how detractors prevented them from getting engaged for 3 years because you can't get engaged unless you spend thousands on a vacation to Disneyland and ask her there.
But of course he can't marry Leanna because he has no money. It's not like he can get married in his mother's chain-smoke filled living room in an old suit with his bride wearing a $20 potato-sack in Walgreen's make-up his mother caked on her while his mother's 6 cats watch.

I'm by no means an expert at fighting games but wouldn't double tapping buttons for a fighter cause your shit to mess up. As I understand, fighting games require precision button presses and joystick movements.

No, double-tapping is a specific way of hitting an arcade button where the game registers two button presses in the shortest possible time, typically around 80ms apart. This is also a technique that, in my opinion after looking at his SFV inputs, DSP doesn't know how to do. The button presses in fighting games where double-tapping is required need to be so precise that not even the best in the world would be able to complete their combos if they didn't use little tricks like double-tapping, plinking, and pianoing.

I love how overblown his story is. He actually retells that day like a fucking RPG. He's looking around, he's lost, suddenly he finds a clue, blah blah blah. He's insane. Also he's angry they already told Leanna how to pay the bill, meanwhile DSP is already telling his viewers how to pay his bills before gameplay has even started. Zero self-awareness as usual.

The hungry part is even better than I remembered:

You know what the worst part about the hospital incident is? If something ever happens to Khet and she needs medical treatment at a time where it really inconveniences Phil, he is not going to refrain from bitching about it on stream.

Phil knows it's not normal, he just doesn't give a fuck. Autistic people who are JUST autistic don't get so indignant and stubbornly refuse to ever admit wrong-doing when confronted for any behavior of theirs that society generally doesn't find palatable. They might get upset, but it's because they're struggling to fit in and it can suck at times. Phil obviously has way more wrong with him than that. He consistently goes right for being the worst he thinks he can get away with being. He wasn't in charge at his 341 hearing, so he controlled his snorting and throat-clearing to the best of his ability, but while streaming, he his IN charge, and any comments about him that are remotely critical of his behavior is grounds for the LIMB, or at the very least a shitty retort dripping with a powerfully entitled-to-an-ass attitude. Never does he adapt once he has been made aware of something he does being bad, not in the way that he should. He retcons, doubles-down, makes excuses, blames others, any he can think of to get out of having to change in a way that makes him less of an asshole.

A version of Phil that thinks this kind of thing is normal, without anything else wrong with him, wouldn't have made this far into the deep end, because this one has been getting corrected about comparatively minor things for over a decade and deliberately gotten worse with each passing year in response.

To be fair, if you took the "Fuck you I'm doing it anyway, and LOUDER!" part of Phil's lovely personality out of the equation, he would legit appear innocently unaware of a lot of things that you or I would naturally recognize as rude or whatever. Lots of special needs folks are like that, and with a guide who cares and understands, they do okay.

As for whether such a guide could have ever stood a chance of turning Phil around, I expect that they would've needed to get to him as a very young child. We're talking five years-old. Maybe he was okay in high school and it wasn't yet too late, but I doubt it because his FGC days started shortly after that and we know how he reacted to being confronted over how two-faced and cowardly he was.

It’s this video that told me without a shadow of a doubt that Phil’s behavior during his gameplay isn’t just him being casual, or a character, or whatever the fuck. His “NUTHIN I COULD DO” shit is genuinely how this man feels and behaves in his actual life. I know Phil harps on about being “real”, but this confirmed to me that you could read into his shitty personality by watching his gameplay. And also how easy it is to identify “Clown Mode” moments.
That video is practically a necessity on learning about DSP. It’s such an entertaining way to tell you how terrible The Guy really is.

I was just watching a bit of last night's stream.

This was, by far, the earliest water break that Phil has taken. Naturally, this complete anomaly is the one that he also made fun of this theory and leaves his phone behind. So to debunk the rumours surrounding his patterns of behaviour, he made a production of a time that didn't even fit with the pattern. Additionally, IcedCoffee had already cheered by that time, so Phil knew he was in the chat, meaning that the tip goal was going to be secure anyway. Suddenly, he has the confidence to debunk the water break rumours.

Speaking of IcedCoffee, Phil, I find it curious that you addressed the theory that you tip yourself when you leave the room, and not the far more prevelant theory that you contact whales to come and tip. It's a little weird that you made a big production of that claim in particular and didn't even mention this one, despite the fact that both could have been addressed simultaneously. Could we get a flat denial there? Probably not, hm?

If he's ever accused of a serious crime, he needs to lawyer up immediately, and follow their instructions blindly. When left to his own devices, he has an amazing capacity to make himself look even more guilty while attempting to address accusations. He probably knows that though, which is why Rochelle did such a good job of keeping him on a leash during his bankruptcy fraud...
